So, our evening here turned into a bit of a sitcom. We were a little late (15 mins) - which is totally our bad, so we lost our reservation. A bit annoying, but it happens. They seated us in the waiting area and that was fine. We ordered some water .. and then they kinda forgot about us for 30 minutes.
We were having quite a good time, so it wasn't a big deal. But we figured at this point we should probably see what's going on. They told us they couldn't give us an estimate, but that some tables were getting dessert. So we figured we'd hang out for a little longer and order some some starters or something. So we flagged down a waiter and ordered a few things.
The food came, and it was fine. But after another 15 mins and still no table, we figured we should just get the check and pick up some Macdonalds on the way home.
So we asked for the bill, and this seemed to trigger some kind of emergency: Suddenly the manager came and tried to give us some champagne, the hostess came and promised us that there was a table super-dooper-almost ready, and they insisted on giving us a free dish. All this was nice enough .. but they kinda just refused to bring us the bill: we asked multiple times and they just insisted on bringing us other stuff that we hadn't ordered. I guess they were trying to make up for the poor service, but all we wanted was the bill and they just seemed to refuse to bring it! eventually my friend had to say: "look, if you don't bring us the bill we're just going to leave cash on the table and go"
It also appeared that the people waiting next to us - who I think had been there since before us - were having the same experience, and were getting a bit angry.
Anyway, I'm sure this is the exception rather than the rule, but there's a million restaurants just like this one in Bogota, so...
Read moreWhy do you have a VERY LOUD AND INTENSE TECHNO in a restaurant of this quality? Food was delicious but too salty. Although the service and the flavors were excellent (apart from the salt), I truly question if people like such a loud environment. It felt like a Techno club where you can eat and not a fancy restaurant where you have a great time. If you like fast paced techno, be my guest. If not, go at another time, not Friday or Saturday night. I'd go back but at lunch time and see what happens when the environment is more relaxed. We got the Don doh Maki which was innovative and flavorful, then some carrots from the special menu (best dish of the night). Then meat "entraña" and sauteed ramen. Those two were fine especially the ramen pasta (excellent texture) but TOO salty, so you get tired of eating because they don't bring any other fresh side or sauce to balance the flavors. For dessert we tried the chocolate souffle and the Creme...

I visited DonDoh on a Sunday night (actually while the Super Bowl was being broadcasted). Not crowded and no reservation needed. We sat close to the bar area.
The place has a modern and exciting vibe. The menu is Asian food with some twists.
We had two appetizers: Crispy Rice (2) and a Salmon Hand Roll. The Crispy Rice!! 🤤 It was delicious. Rice perfectly cooked and crispy outside and the fish and beef on top of it super fresh! The hand Roll was great too but if you have to choose, go for the crispy rice.
Then as the main entree we had the Entrana with an avocado side. Perfectly cooked and tender. The avocado was a twist but it didn’t disappoint.
To top it off, we ended up with a delicious dessert: Souffle de Chocolate. All of the desserts sounded like wonderful so I will have to come back and try them out!
The service is top notch and prices I am not going to lie are expensive but...
