I’m usually not someone to leave a bad review but this time it’s just unfair if I don’t share my experience.

It started with the manager approaching me as I took a picture of the beautiful place that they have, and told me that pictures were not allowed. I thought it was weird but whatever.

In summary, the food took forever and the service was soooo slow! In fact, the hostess got involved and ended up taking our order, and she was a rock star. Everyone else just seemed to have no clue.

Then came the food, and we thought “all right, this is gonna be good”. Big disappointment. My friend and I ordered the same burger, his was cooked rare while mine was medium. My other friend ordered a brisket sandwich, the meat was so tough he couldn’t properly chew.

When everywhere else is packed and this place isn’t, there’s a reason. You don’t go to El Corral for great burgers, and this is supposed to be a level above their usual product. I recall eating here a while back and it was OK, but even being slow they couldn’t really get it together on service. The kicker was the disgusting fried chicken sandwich, which turned out to be chopped and formed chicken meat, not chicken breast, and it was skimpy, tough and stringy, and greasy. One bite and I said, “Oh hell no”, and told the server how disappointed I was. If they’d refrained from charging me, I would have kept it between us, but...

We had take out from here twice - once as a pick up and another as delivery. Both times food was good. The burgers are great - and there is a lot of selection. I opted for the mac & cheese and also ordered a nachos. I'm so glad I ordered the nachos because the mac & cheese was the blandest mac & cheese that I've ever had in my life. My mistake, ordering mac & cheese at a burger restaurant! The nachos were great - they came all disassembled in separate containers so it did not arrive soggy and wet.
