WOK Parque de la 93 — Restaurant in Bogota, Capital District

Incredibly disappointed by the food and service I personally received at Wok. After 45 minutes of waiting for our food, I waited 15 more for my own dish — only to find out that they hadn’t put in my order at all because she didn’t hear me. Plus, the dish wasn’t available anyways. What? I understand I am a foreigner, but that is no excuse to not have tried to communicate with me or my party.

Out of rush, the manager expedited a pork ramen — which I regret staying for. The broth was mediocre (though the noodles were surprisingly nice and chewy). The red flag? They bring salt and pepper to your table to get the flavor out the ramen. The pork loin is thick and difficult to handle; an odd cut for ramen. Some of the bamboo shoots are thick and inedible.

One positive thing is that our server was prepared when my son started coughing due to the food. Kudos if that’s a training they get. Still, this did not override the lack of hospitality I received.

It’s sadly funny that the only Asian in the restaurant got the worst service of the night. If you are craving an authentic and service-minded Asian cuisine, I highly recommend...

Loved the food and setting with strong Thai Cambodian influence. They offer an enormous menu with a wide variety of dishes and all the ones soups, appetizers and entrees our party ate were great and clearly other large tables were enjoying theirs too. I was trained in Chinese cooking and liked their offerings and variety. Wait staff was very attentive and helpful in understanding their dishes. Warmly greeted and also on leaving. Very clean and nice ambiance. Great experience right by the park and many dishes to come enjoy. We SHALL RETURN! and try a few other locations of this splendid chain. We loved the large portions for leftovers the next day as well. From USA the general rule is Italian and Chinese portions tend to be large--even lovely large...

This place has become a neighborhood classic. Don’t hesitate to stop by if you’ve never been here. We really recommend the chili oil wontons as well as the bambu roll. Service is great, food is great, juices are great, drinks are great. Don’t really have anything in our negative belt to throw at this spot. There’s certain places that need a lot of change to be able to catch on to the guest. This spot has stayed original from the beginning and still has the charm. Menu changes slightly from time to time so keep an eye out for exciting stuff. Keep up...
