Tucked among green plants at the end of a winding path, the place looks classy and cosy. We came as a company of 10 and appreciated some bread for snacks because we were hungry and the service, though nice, was slooow. While taking the orders, the waiter would disappear (probably to ask about availability of some dishes/ingredients) and come back after a while. When finally the food arrived, it looked good. But I could see that my raviolis with pumpkin (very little of it!) were probably waiting for me for a while in the kitchen as they were just warm and quite hard (I know what al dente is :) ). The mushroom sauce saved the dish for me, but pieces of nuts (they should have been roasted :( ) didn't bring anything to the dish. Looking at other dishes, I could sense a bit of disappointment, too. Some pasta looked stodgy. I just can't believe it was all cooked fresh and with love. Anyway, the company was great and I enjoyed the dinner overall. However, the dishes were definitely overpriced and not very tasty. If you want to have delicious food and not go over the budget, this place isn't...
Read moreThe first time I went, I was delighted with the service — the staff was very kind and attentive. I didn’t have to wait for a table, and the food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. I especially recommend the lasagna; it was tasty. However, I didn’t enjoy the lychee cocktail, so I wouldn’t recommend it.
On the other hand, my second visit wasn’t as good. I arrived about an hour before closing time, but they decided not to serve me. I understand this might be a common practice in some places for logistical reasons, but in my opinion, if the posted hours say they close at 10, they should keep accepting customers until that time — or at the very least, clearly state that the kitchen closes earlier.
As a tourist, I come with different expectations based on my own experiences, where even if you arrive 10–15 minutes before closing, you’re usually still served. I really liked the place, but if you don’t want to waste your time, just assume the restaurant is effectively “closed” an hour before their official...
Read moreWe went here after being turned away from El Chato, and honestly, it was a sign from the universe because Vitto is 1000% better. To enter, you walk through a grapewine tunnel with fairy lights, and it's giving summer Italian night vibes. Staff let us pick any table we wanted, even though it was pretty busy (highly recommend outside in the patio upstairs)
To start off, we got their Blackberry Smash Cocktail; super sweet, especially if you don't like the taste of alcohol, but still want alcohol.
Complimentary warm and fresh focaccia as the bread service 👌
Appetizers: Octopus Carrpaccio (Carrpaccio de Pulpo) was light, zesty, and refreshing with the house Charcuterie board (Mixta de la Casa)
Main: Baked Salmon Caneloni (Canelon de Salmón Curado) came as 2 caneloni overflowing with filling, and they baked it with extra cheese! Their house grilled steak came out on a griddle with garlic butter and potatoe wedges.
Last but not least, dessert was a...
