Domino's Pizza Poblado — Restaurant in Medellín

It was really cool. I ordered two pizzas. One for myself and for a future-ex-ex-future Venezuelan girlfriend that I will never see again. Hers had pepperoni and my toppings weren’t important - they never are.

The cool part was that they said it would be ready in 15 minutes and it was. It was odd for Colombia where the local concept of time is typically that it does not exist and “a moment” can be over an hour in some cases (but I shouldn’t judge, I am often interrupted myself).

It should also be pointed out that the timely pizzas also were made to accommodate my instructions- none of which were difficult, but people often have trouble with simple tasks.

I’ll visit this Domino’s again for certain, but not necessarily because of the above. I will go back in hope of getting glimpse of the girl behind the counter’s smile. I got ocasional glimpse’s as she pulled it down upon request as my hearing is bad and her Spanish was inaudible to me - primarily because I don’t speak Spanish.

It was also a small ruse on my part. Even though I could not hear what she was saying - a true statement - I could anticipate her comments and questions as I had been to a Dominos pizza place prior times in my checkered past and - to their credit - each experience has been very similar.

However, it wasn’t checkers that I was playing that night, it was chess. I knew from the moment I glanced into her eyes that I would be losing a piece on the board soon and it would need to be replaced. Her eyes will bring me back and I can’t wait for her to say “hola” again to me - whatever...

I waited 2 and a half hours nearly for a pizza I ordered. I ordered it at 8:09 pm. It is 10:54 now. No pizza. Every single time I order specifically from this dominos they lie saying the order is on the way when it isn’t. 2 hours goes by and then they mark the pizza as delivered but I never even received my order, yet I waited 2 hours + and I didn’t even get a pizza, the one I was patiently starving for and I also wasted a shit load of money on an order I will not receive and have been fighting tooth and nail to get a refund for. What a horrible experience every single time I order from here. Never again. Their customer service is terrible, their time management is the absolute worst. By far the worst restaurant in Medellin....

The pizza was good, the employees are a eating pizza, apples so not proffesinal and the girl that took my order was eating a apple and holding it while taking my order go eat in the back, employees playing games hitting each other with empty pizza boxes witch will get used...
