Crepes & Waffles - Poblado — Restaurant in Medellín

I love this establishment I go quite frequently, on some visits everyday of my stay. BUT I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT TO VISIT THIS LOCATION. I mean I've had some problems at other locations as far as being a tourist and a single male but nothing compares to this location. The hostess was gracious . the server was incompetent , rude and unattentive. Attended locals who came in after me until I stopped her in her place to tell her my order which she in turn got wrong. I ordered Mexican soup I received some kind of Mexican shredded chicken crepe, I also ordered Thai salad that came correct. But after me questioning after 25 minutes of waiting for a soup and a salad when people before me and after me already served . including the 2 two tops that came after me . Soup and salad shouldn't take that long . Even after 25 minutes has a lapsed I still had to wait another 5 to 10 minutes , unacceptable for soup that's probably already hot and the salad is cold. After The wrong dish was taken away I told her I don't want the soup now. so they brought me my salad after 35 minutes and then the soup came behind that I already requested that I don't want it anymore . The manager was there I received no apologies for the mishap from the server or the manager who was standing right there. I didn't get the server's name. But I was table number 9 order was taken at 2:00 p.m. I sat down at 1:35 p.m. 9/3/25 Again I do love this establishment just not that location I'm actually having dinner at a different location today. This is my fourth time visiting this location on four different visits this was the worst one yet, the other three visits weren't pleasurable either but not to this extent . so for that I will not be returning to his location whatsoever and I will not be recommending it to friends and family who visit this wonderful city. The place has a great vibe and the servers are very friendly. The reason my rating is low os because of the crepe I got. It was called the Normanda (fresh mushrooms, dutch and mozzarella cheese in mushroom sauce). The first couple bites were fantastic, beautifully seasoned sauce, juicy mushrooms, great crepe. But when i got to the inside of the crepe, all the mushrooms were raw (uncooked), making the inside of the crepe dry and potentially unsafe because of the toxins inside the mushroom. On asking the servers if that was normal, i was told that this is how the crepe is prepared and she assured me they were safe. She said the fact that it said fresh mushrooms or champiñones frescas means they would be served raw. I tried to argue that fresh means not from a can or not frozen, as compared to not cooked. Regardless of the safety issue, why wouldnt you cook mushrooms that go in a crepe?! It makes them so juicy and makes it easier for the body to digest. They taste a hundred tomes better, cooked.I tried to give it a shot by eating them raw, but couldn't bring myself to do it. So, my crepe was disappointing, but I still think it deserves 3 stars for the vibe, service and the outside...

I walk in about 40 mins after they opened. Jam packed I saw one table available on the first floor, and I saw stairs. Upstairs is a better environment and lucky I got the last table. As I looked around I saw about half of everyone with menus in their hands so I knew the kitchen was going to be slammed. I thought let me just order what I came here for, the Acai. Nope they didn't even know what I was saying. What a huge disappointment. Must be one of those bait and switch items, that they vaguely state online and not available. I should have left then but I ate the waffle with ice cream, and fruit. Can't really mess that up. As long as the ice cream is still frozen. To my surprise it came out fast. Faster than most of the other people. They order more lunch type food. And to mention I've eaten my meal waiting for the check and I still haven't received my juice.

The servers weren't happy, running around like chickens with no heads. Upset and I could tell. Business needs a lot of attention. It took more than 15 mins for me to get and process my check. I do not suggest eating...
