Real Eatery — Restaurant in Medellín

Absolutely terrible experience, I went here to do work, get coffee, food and enjoy my time in Medellin. I need a coffee shop for the next 2 months to do work in Medellin as a digital nomad, I was hoping I could make this place my home after all the atmosphere is great, I wanted to come here every single day, tip well and spend at least 30 dollars a day on food and drinks. If I did that for 60 days that would 1,800 USD minimum…

Instead my first Interaction was them asking me to change tables in completely empty restaurant. Not kidding I was the only person in the building.. and they asked me To move tables in the middle of me being on a call. They said I could not sit at a 4 person table top and needed to move to a one person table top…. When there was not any one els in the building… there is a lot more to complain about. But I’ll save the energy.

I had lunch with my wife and we truly appreciated the delicious food and impeccable service.

My wife said that it had been many years since she'd had such good tomato soup and I can say the same thing about their signature burger. The hot chocolate was good and the french fries (accompanied both with chicken tenders and the burger) were a perfect combination of crispiness and salted seasoning.

I asked the server, José, if he could sing "Happy birthday" for my wife with others. He talked to his boss, got a candle from inside, placed it on the cake we'd already ordered, and played "Happy birthday" on the restaurant music system. I offered the staff a round of drinks for their kind gesture and they politely declined.

Had a fantastic dining experience here! Service was amazing, they were attentive to our group of 5 from the start to finish of our meal. Every dish we had was creative, delicious, and original. The Barrata and Truffle ravioli was one of the best pastas I’ve had….ever! The Old Fashion and Negroni cocktails were perfectly made. Appetizers tuna carpaccio, beat and goat cheese appetizer, also extremely creative and delicious. Each new plate they brought out was had a delightful presentation. We travel extensively, full time and to over 100 countries. We have eaten in thousands of places. This was one of our favorite dining experiences we’ve had. Very unexpected giving the ratings it has, which for us was baffling. Our family had a wonderful memorable experience...
