La Cocinita de Lety — Restaurant in Monteverde

Everything about the breakfast plate was perfect, I also really enjoyed their home made chili but the agua dulce was kinda watered down and not on the same level. I appreciate their nice service and would recommend this place to anyone who visits Monteverde. One thing I don’t like is the ambiance, this place is in a mall, you’d think it would be a basic fake commercial spot, but it’s not, it’s home cooked food with the classic rustic home vibes you get from other “sodas”. Because of location there isn’t much of a view besides people watching at the parking lot, Still it deserves a 5, because it meets expectations where it matters the most, the food.

"La Cocinita de Lety" is absolutely worth a visit. The food is great, the waiter is super nice and the ambiente is basic, but enjoyable. There is relaxing music on a TV with a nice video arrangement that underlines the music. The paintings on the wall add a nice touch to the atmosphere. I retracted one star of the ambiente because the mixer for making batidos is in the eating room, and it's quite loud. But this is just a very small remark. I liked the restaurant so much that I had dinner 3 tomes here during my stay in Santa Elena (7 days). First day "Casado con Bistec de Lomito de Res", second day "Casado con Chuleta de Cerdo" and today "Lomito de Res con Salsa de Setas". I enjoyed all...

Authentic costa-rican food. This is family run restaurant, the owner is also the cook. The restaurant name "La coconita de Lety" which means " little kitchen of De Leticia",captures the essence of the place. They had a special menu for Christmas, I had Chilean Bass cooked in butter over veggies and mashed potatoes., the fish was cooked perfectly, the mashed potatoes on the side were fluffy. The hot sauce on the side with thinly sliced green chilli, ginger, cucumber in lemon added to the flavor.
