Restaurante Balu — Restaurant in Quepos

I had an incredible dining experience at Balu yesterday. The owner, Memo, was exceptionally attentive and catered to our every need. We mentioned how we’ve tried ceviche all over Costa Rica, and how it’s often very similar, noting that we typically enjoy it more in the US or Dominican Republic. Memo took this feedback to heart and crafted a ceviche that was nothing short of amazing and perfectly to our liking.

For my main course, I ordered the steak with onions, rice, and salad, accompanied by some fried yuca. Every bite was delicious! My partner ordered the chuleta, and although I can’t recall everything that came with it, she thoroughly enjoyed her meal.

We will definitely be dining at Balu every time we’re in Quepos!...
