What a delightful dinner experience! I’m not sure where to start as everything was perfect from start to finish.
The service was amazing and our server was funny and friendly. The food was succulent and we couldn’t get enough of it (we’ll be back).
We got the duck and the lamb and we were both speechless at how perfect both plates were. The plating, the flavors, the portion… Everything was perfect. We topped it off with their pancakes which were, without a surprise, extremely tasty.
This place is a gem in plain sight, right in the middle of the town and I’m so glad we gave it a try. It’s unfortunate that Google ratings stop at 5 stars because this is definitely more than 5 stars.

We came hungry with a desire to taste Croatian cuisine. Interesting interior of the restaurant, something old and a lot of appetizing details. A clean and modern toilet is an important detail. Read moreFun, kitschy interior atmosphere, at a traditional restaurant at the foot of the funicular (hence its name) in Zagreb. I was wooed by the many northern Croatian dishes - think duck, mlinci, and veal, but at the right time of the summer, anything with asparagus - which is highly in season - is terrific. I did their local cream asparagus soup and the pljukanci (hand rolled pasta) with beef and truffle sauce. Both terrific. The service was great, especially the bald waiter with the glasses. Even their aged olive oil from Primosten... so delicious. It is worth it to keep coming back to the restaurant, it's among my top 5...
