Visited the restaurant twice for dinner while on holiday. It was our favourite place to eat.
We managed to get a table without a reservation on Tuesday, and reserved the last available table on Friday. It's a beautiful restaurant with amazing food, well worth booking. Despite being fully booked often, the place doesn't feel hectic or too busy - it's clearly well ran.
We ordered the spicy salmon roll, California roll and Green Thai prawn curry on Tuesday. The sushi plates came quickly and were absolutely amazing. The sushi was fresh and well balanced. The spicy salmon roll had a nice kick of spice without overpowering the salmon flavour. The California roll was equally as good. The curry arrived shortly after we finished the sushi, and we shared it between two. Again it had a great spice level and flavour. There were quite a few prawns and the vegetables were well cooked, with the bell peppers adding a nice crunch to the dish.
We ordered similarly on Friday, changing the California roll for vegetable gyoza. They were piping hot, flavourful and had a wonderful crispy bottom to the dumplings. Our food arrived all at once, but the staff covered our curry with a pot lid so it stayed hot. The waiting staff were fantastic, and the staff behind the bar made a great lychee martini (though the alcohol sinks to the bottom if you don't stir it up or drink it quickly). No complaints whatsoever, we would happily eat...
Read moreVisited this restaurant based on online recommendations. It had changed the name from Shizuko to Trinity Fusion restaurant, so we were a bit confused now that we couldn’t find any signs or notices about this change. We had booked a table in advance for 7 PM on a Friday evening, and - without any mention of the fact - the place had a DJ playing very loud music, mostly around 75 to 77 dB, but sometimes the noise level went above 82 dB, ie noise levels like alarm clocks, vacuum cleaners and traffic.
The service and waiters were nice, the food tasted good, but we couldn’t enjoy it because of the constant increased noise level. Halfway through the meal we chose to abandon the restaurant and chose to eat the rest as a takeaway meal.
We talked to the staff about the loud music and they apologized because they couldn’t do anything about it. They said it’s like this every Friday. The music style consists mostly of upbeat club music and I feel it didn’t fit at all this otherwise nice place. Maybe the restaurant wants to cater to a younger crowd and maybe the music is supposed to incentivize shorter stays to increase the throughput of customers, but all in all it was a huge negative at least for us. We spent 560kn, so we spent a substantial...
Read moreHonestly, this place is a hidden gem. Having travelled the world I can concienciously state that of you like Thia food the Trinity Oriental fusion lounge is world class and would not be out of place in New York, Italy, London or any other place where true fine dining can be experienced. So what makes this place so amazing and an absolute must? (assuming Thia food is your thing). Well you'd be wrong if you were thinking it's just the food, although the food is cooked by a thia chef and I am happy to declare is absolutely the best thia food I have tasted without a shadow of a doubt. No its the combination of Matea, the most wonderfully welcoming and perfect hostess, to the professionalism and skill of the bartender who mixes EVERY cockcktail to the PERFECT balance COMBINED with the immaculate artistry of the thia chef who captures the delicacy and balance of each item on the menu with such crafted perfection. Wrap this up with the gorgeous decour and beautiful ambiance and seriously... Why haven't you booked your table yet???? If you don't believe me, I invite you to see for yourselves. For those that do.... Enjoy... This place is REALLY something...
