Read moreI looked this restaurant up from other reviews and decided to give it a try while staying in Croatia as it was only a 10 min walk from my apartment. It was raining so the rear terrace was probably not the best place to be seated so we were inside. Busy and luckily managed to get a table for two.
Staff were young chatting amongst themselves and laughing, I felt like I was invisible, they didn't seem to be assertive towards your needs.
You almost had to get there attention, wave them over to get served. But I didn't let this spoil my evening as weather was rubbish and I was looking forward to the food.
Ordered a prawn soup to start and a sharing fish platter for two.
As previous reviews had said food was great can't complain and a really good helping and value for money. Only criticism I have is it would have been a five out of five if the staff were less talking amongst themselves when customers were either waiting to order drinks or having the table cleared once they finished instead of leaving dishes in front of them for a good 10min before you hint your done, & could they clear the table with an expression to a member of the team.
Don't let this stop you trying the food still it's somewhere I would return as the food...
Read moreI am french coming from a family of passionnated food experts and restaurant owners so I was raised with food being a center part of my life but I live in Stockholm where living standards and restaurants are expensive. That being said this restaurant is not bad. The fish is fresh but it is way overpriced for Croatian standards. We paid 100 euros for 2 cocktails, 12 very small oysters and what they called fish platters. The fish platter consists in 1 shrimp per person, 3 half small fish and 50 grams of deep fried squid served on salads. The quantity was fine but for that price I get a Royal food platter in France for 45 euros... so yea it is definitely overpriced and for tourists with lower standards and money to waste... To put things in perspective in Sweden in an average restaurant with same standard, it costs the same. On top of that it is very hot and I had to go ask for water after 20 minutes without seeing the waitress. It happens but...the restaurant was far from being over booked. Walking a long way and reading the recommendations I expected a bit more for the price....
