We went there on a hunch and received a very warm welcome from the staff. The waiter was very attentive and the food was very delicious. We loved the fried squids, so much that we ate there again another night. Again receiving the same attentive service. The black ink risotto was very good, as was the freshly grilled fish (bream) and brudet. We also tried the pork medallion with truffle cream sauce and the chicken with special wine. The Rozata was a delicate cream caramel, and do try the walnut cake when available because it was so good. There was a good selection of wines if you want to try a couple of regional wines by the glass. Definitely worth a visit because in the sea of so many restaurants around town this one really made us feel welcome and gave us the...

This was a real find in the Old Town where it is hard to come across a different restaurant where the maitre D’ is not pouncing on you to enter their eatery with a banal menu littered with garish photos of conventional Croatian fare. The staff were polite and welcoming, but unobtrusive and the restaurant itself, understated. The food however, surpassed our expectations. Had oysters and marinated anchovies to start which were really good. The highlight though was the grilled whole sea bream served with a Swiss chard and potato combo. Perfectly executed. Finished off with an orange and almond cake which had just the right balance. Fantastic! I looked around at the other tables’ plates and it all looked delicious! I would...

The location is really beautiful, however the food is very average quality. We had brodeto which was quite plain and grilled fish which had been cooked for too long. The bill came with 2 unexpected surprises, one was coubert x2, which they charged 20kn in total and also the bottle of water which was 30kn, even though we asked for tap water as they serve it all over the city. We wanted to order the house wine (12kn per 0.10) but we were told that they stopped serving house wine after 4pm and had to choose between only 2 in the menu that were served by the glass (28kn and 34kn each). Definitely not our best food experience in Croatia, there are better places (and without hidden...

MUST VISIT PLACES IN DUBROVNIK, CROATIA 👇🏼 Save this to help you plan your future trip to the medieval city, everything from stunning cliff bars to the dreamiest Adriatic beaches. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ BANJE BEACH - It’s the most popular beach in Dubrovnik, Banje Beach is big, beautiful and offers sweeping views of the medieval walled city. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ BUZA BARS - There are two Buza Bars built into the cliffs of the Old Town walls. The location can’t be beat for an afternoon of cliff jumping, swimming and sunbathing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ CITY WALLS - Walk the Dubrovnik city walls for a completely unique Old Town experience. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ DANCE BEACH - This swim ladder haven is a somewhat off-the-beaten-path beach, located just beyond Sulic Beach. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ LOKRUM ISLAND - The little island is a quick ferry ride from Old Town, and it’s a great place to spend a day sunbathing on the Adriatic. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ LOVRIJENAC - Some of the prettiest views of Old Town are from this fortress that sits just across the West Harbor. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ MOUNT SRD. - Hike up Mount Srd., soak in the views of Old Town, Lokrum Island and the piercing Adriatic coast. Then take gondola back down to Old Town. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ PASJACA BEACH - One of the prettiest beaches in Europe, you’ll need to rent a car for the day to get there (located 30 km south of Dubrovnik). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ SULIC BEACH - My favorite Old Town beach, popular with locals. Sulic is small and sits in a narrow cove, but the energy is good and the sparkling water is absolutely dreamy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ SVETI JAKOV - Another slightly less touristed beach, only because it’s a bit of a walk to get to from Old Town. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ WEST HARBOR - Visit the serene West Harbor for epic backdrops of Old Town and Lovrijenac, as well as a few Game of Thrones filming locations. HOTELS - Hotel Excelsior, Villa Dubrovnik, Hotel Kompass, Hotel Bellevue Dubrovnik RESTAURANTS - Lady PiPi, Fish Restaurant Proto, Lucin Kantun, Konoba Rizario, Oyster & Sushi Bar Bota, Peppino’s Artisan Gelato #dubrovnik #kingslanding #croatia #oldtown #croatiatravel

I’ve been in the restaurant business for 40 years and this was one of the best meals that I have had in recent memory. The outdoor seating is situated on a narrow medieval alleyway. You’re surrounded by beautiful historical buildings with street lights providing the lighting. I ordered the steak with a fig sauce which was delicious. The vegetable side, zucchini and red bell pepper, was perfectly cooked. Unbeknownst to me, Croatian wine, especially the whites, is delicious. This was an unforgettable dining experience. I highly recommend choosing this lovely restaurant to dine at if you’re in Dubrovnik!!
