One of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in my life. First of all, the host was barking at me to put my luggage down next to the bar (there was plenty of space under my seat). There’s someone standing directly where he’s putting so I wait til they move and he barks at me to put my stuff down as if there isn’t a whole human being in the space he’s pointing at. I say “There’s someone standing there,” and as if he thought of it himself goes, “Yes, you must wait.”
Then, he comes over and tells me to move it bc they can’t pass. There is literally nowhere else to move it so I just turn it another direction, objectively does not solve the problem.
Then I wait thirty minutes in a half full restaurant for a waiter. I ordered the mushroom pizza which in retrospect I knew was going to be a hit or miss but there was literally nothing cheaper on this menu other than bread or soup. The Greek salad was more expensive. To no one’s surprise, it was the worst pizza I’ve ever had in my life. No taste. Literal drywall.
Don’t come here. Some advice: make sure you book your ferry to Hvar close to your flight because this little village next to the ferry was the definition of a tourist trap. Worst vibes I’ve ever experienced—I’d like a formal apology from the restaurant, not to me, but to the country of Croatia for orchestrating such a horrible...

We had lunch at Bakra today, arriving when there were only a couple of tables occupied, but by the time we left, the restaurant had filled up significantly. The atmosphere was relaxed and fun, with a warm vibe that I can imagine becomes an even greater hangout spot later in the day.
Our waiter was superb – friendly, attentive, and spoke excellent English. He introduced us to some of their signature dishes, including the chopstick (Ćevapi-style minced meat patty) which was exceptionally good. It had deep, rich flavors far beyond a typical American hamburger, clearly blended with traditional Balkan spices and techniques.
We also ordered gnocchi in truffle sauce, prosciutto pizza, and a beautiful charcuterie and cheese board. Everything was well-prepared and delicious. The waiter suggested a local brandy for us to try – while it wasn’t to everyone’s taste, it was a cool cultural experience and I appreciated him bringing that to our table.
Overall, Bakra exceeded our expectations for lunch in Split. The food was fresh and flavorful, the environment was welcoming, and our waiter truly made the meal memorable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Split who wants authentic local flavors and a great team taking...

Resolution = 5% off bill or free dessert..cont'd Long review: after passing by the restaurant a few times I was told I needed to make a reservation a day in advance so I did.. Excited to try out their food I ordered the chicken fillet (I only eat chicken).. I specifically asked the waiter please make it extra well done.. Not well done.. Extra well done. To my surprise I ate 1 piece and it was fine(not well done tho) .. The next piece was the real issue.. It was completely not cooked in one section.. I told the waiter this is why I said well done and he apologized and said he would talk to the kitchen.. The reason I give it a 1 star is his response.. He was not empathetic and told me "the chicken is thick that's why it wasn't cooked in certain spots(so other guests have to deal with uncooked chicken?).. I can offer u 5% off the entire bill..with 0 empathy.. The only reason I gave it 2 stars was because the pizza my wife ordered was good and...
