Mezepolis Kebab and Tavern — Restaurant in Ayia Napa

Came there for a lunch during our vacation, we stayed in Melissi hotel. From the very beginning didn’t like their attitude - grumpy faces, very unhappy - not something you’d like to see on vacation.

But okay, it is what it is - ordered vegetarian dish and my husband ordered something with meat.

When my “vegetarian” dish arrived I noticed that it has weird taste. At the time it arrived I clarified if it is vegetarian? I was answered yes. Decided to ask what it consist of and was suddenly told that it is with meat. Great. No sorry, no apologies. Instead, I was told that it had not much meat inside. I don’t care, I haven’t eaten meat since I was a child!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn’t manage to eat a lot, just a bit but still!! Some people have principles, but some might have an allergy or something. Thanks god I didn’t have allergy, but my mood for the day was definitely spoiled. I also felt sick for the rest of the day because I tasted something my body has already forgotten and obviously it was hard for my body to digest it.

And of course when they brought me a vegetarian version I already had ZERO desire to eat it.

They said it’s okay we can not pay for the meal and I think it was fair.

BTW my husband said his meal was tasteless too.

Unfortunately i cannot agree with the previous reviews (most likely they have not tried greek cusine at all, we have better greek restaurants in Bulgaria, and even cheeper). We ordered fried calamari and we received a plate with 5-7 pieces and the rest was french fries and a salad. Which i have never seen before. This is not mentioned in the menu. The calamari were not even tasty.

We ordered grilled cheese and it was most likely made in the morning and was very rubbery.

Fantastic food! The best souvlaki! Each ingredient was fresh, tasty and well cooked. I’m not a meat lover, but the chicken souvlaki was really good. The staff is very nice and friendly and the food came very quickly. We wanted to eat something from the Greek kitchen and we chose this place because it was quiet and the atmosphere was chill and intimate. I think that there is another option a few meters away, but more crowded and without the same atmosphere. Totally...
