Worst place I ate while on vacation in Cyprus! Literally the absolute worst service. We arrived and sat ourselves at an already set and untouched table with menus (probably bc the people before us had the same experience and left). We spent 20 min waiting for someone to acknowledge us. There were 3 workers and not one even said hello or came to get our orders. There were 4/5 uncleaned tables by that time and 3 tables around us had paid (so they did see us). I finally flagged someone down and they put up a finger to hold on a min, 5 min later and still no one. At this point I walked over to the waiters and asked if we could finally order and mentioned we’d been there over 20 min. The woman rudely suggested we were exaggerating. They were so desperate to get out their take away orders that they forgot about everyone else IN the actual establishment! We witnessed multiple people get up and go ask for whatever they needed bc service was that bad. It was too late in the evening to go elsewhere or else we would have. We finally got our food in the strangest order (appetizers came last, meats came out first with salad and no side dishes so by the time my side of fries came, meat was cold.) The shish kebabs and salad were good but our fries were way overcooked. Took another 10 min trying to get the check at the end. Honestly could have walked away and no one would’ve realized. Was really disappointed in...
Read moreTucked away down a side street this little gem serves freshly made Greek and Cypriot food. You can see the chefs cooking the food and it appeared m spotless. We had various dishes ordered by the family that had invited us to the restaurant. I forgot to take pictures (sorry) as too busy catching up and eating. The dips were lovely. my favourite being the coriander tahini dip (looks green tastes yum). Also the sheftalia (Cypriot sausage) was my favourite. I had a home made lemonade with ginger which was delicious and refreshing given it was a hot day and we were having lunch. For desert I had mehalebi which was served with triantafilo (rose flavoured) ice cream as well as cordial. Delicious. Apparently they had live music on Friday night (darn it I missed that). Worth checking out. Oh and the ladies toilets were clean and quite unique. Not going to tell you why - you’re just going to have to go and have a look! We were guests so I don’t know what the bill was but prices do seem reasonable and we left there completely and...
Read moreOne of the places that I will come back to again, and again... The food was absolutely delicious!! I recommend the potato salad and the traditional salad for opening. We had the meat platter for 2, and it was more that enough! We really couldn't finish it all and it's a shame because everything on it was delicious (the chicken/pork burgers on the platter need a little improvement), the souvlaki was full of flavours and the meat was soft, the grilled hallumi.. Wow! The sausage.. Amazing! I also recommend to try the Mustik lemon and Mustik mint if you drink alcohol... The atmosphere is beautiful, feels more local than touristy.. The service is fast and great! They're all so sweet, making laughs, and remembered every table's orders even if they asked them just by...
