Vinaria — Restaurant in Larnaca

Stylish , modern wine bar located in an upmarket area of larnaca center . Lovely atmosphere with with fantastic food and a good selection of wines . We frequent this place at least a few times a months . Unfortunately the good standards of this bar is ruined by the poor service received from the staff . Understandably if the bar is busy then it’s normal for the service standards to drop slightly however if it happens more than once then it’s an issue. We visited last night at 8.30pm after we had called 2 days prior to make a booking for 8 people . We arrived and the waitress , a blonde , middle aged lady who is known to us , greeted us in the worst possible manner and lead us to a table of 6. After mentioning to her that we had booked for 8 she quickly became annoyed and told us that there was nothing she could do . I called the manager who offered to assist by adding 2 smaller chairs to the table. This waitress spent the rest of the night being rude , aggressive and extremely impolite getting annoyed with us every time we spoke to her . We didn’t say anything as we didn’t want to ruin the evening however after we paid our bill we handed her a tip of EUR25 (10% of the bill which she honestly didn’t deserve) , she grabbed the money , rolled her eyes back and walked away .Shocked at her reaction , my brother -in-law got up and walked towards her asking what the issue was . She started shouting and stormed back to our table looking as if she was going to attack us and threw the EUR25 tip on the table!!! Vinaria is a lovely wine bar with a beautiful atmosphere and every time we visit we pray that this particular waitress will not be there .....it’s a real shame that she is allowed to behave this way to and unfortunately she gives the...

This is an excellent spot, very helpful staff especially the manager. I am a local and have been visiting very often. Very large selection of drinks and excellent tapas. Also I was present during the incident where 3 people gave this place a 1 star. They walked in with no reservations in a place which is normally fully booked during the weekends. Even though seemingly there were free tables, these were actually reserved and the clients were going to arrive within the hour. The manager politely explained this to the guests and offered to give them a table which was free with adequate seating. At the time there were two free tables, each on the opposite side of the establishment. They basically demanded from the manager to rearrange the entire seating chart so that they could join the two tables. The manager explained that this was not possible and that there was adequate seating in the table that was given to him. They then left and threatened to leave a one star review. Such a shame to witness such behavior and them blame the manager who was helping them.

Edit update: the so called guests edited their comments accusing the manager that he created a fake account (mine 😂😂😂) so that he puts up this rating. Just as a note to these people, I am the guy who was sitting outside with his wife and child and heard and witnessed the whole thing. I also heard the threat that you made that you were going to leave a one star rating. Oops. Sorry for ruining your fun....

I recently visited Vinaria Wine Bar, and unfortunately, my experience was far from enjoyable. Upon arrival, I found myself waiting outside, hoping someone would escort me in. To my dismay, even though the staff saw me standing there, no one bothered to help.

Once I finally made my way inside, the chaos continued. They couldn’t find my reservation. After what felt like an eternity, they did locate it and escorted me to the table I had reserved. By this point, I was already frustrated.

The worst part was the service. I waited a whole hour for someone to take my order, despite asking twice for assistance. When the server finally arrived, I was shocked by her lack of knowledge about the menu. I asked for a recommendation, and she couldn’t suggest a single thing! Her unprofessional demeanor only added to my disappointment.

To top it all off, my order was delayed. When I inquired about it, they had completely forgotten what I had ordered! The entire experience was chaotic and unorganized. I left feeling completely let down. I won’t be returning to Vinaria Wine Bar...
