Food was good, but service and attitude were horrible! It started by turning sour faces against us because we chose not to ordet wine. From that moment and on, we were treated like low-lives. My wife was trying to get some explanation regarding the menue, but the waitress turnef her back at her and went away. Then, the starter dishes were not served to us together as it should be in allegedly upgraded restaurant, but I got mine first abd my wife got hers after about 5 minutes! We ordered some soft drink but we only got it after complaning to another waiter. The menue has icons for all allergens and we ordered a dish that didn't indicate Gluten in it, however the Cod fish had Dough coating on it. The waiter did offer to replace the dish, but we didn't want to wait again while the other dish was already served. The sour faced waitress then offered us desert on the house, but since my wife avoids gluten and sugar, we had to refuse again. Finally, after paying for the whole bill, I tried explaining the manager why we were so disappointed, elaborating the above, he said that they will indicate the Cod dish as containing gluten, but he didn't offer to take the price of this dish off our bill. Bottom line, guests who avoid alcohol, gluten or sugar are not welcom by Pixida's staff,...
Read moreDon't know how this place got its reviews... We were celebrating our wedding anniversary, came in to find out the table we requested on our reservation (sea view) was not available, waited for 5 minutes for someone to take our "water order" only to get still instead of sparkling 10 minutes later. After they exchanged it we ordered our wine which we got 25 minutes later (after we called the head waiter snd pointed out the fact our wine was still missing) and of course it was the wrong wine. He then exchanged it and took our orders. The oysters were very fresh (the reason the place gets more than 1star) and the tuna tartar was fresh although underseasoned. We also got a salat we didnt order (we DID have an order for a different salat that we never got) and it was sent back. 30 minutes later we got our prawn pasta (supermarket pasta with some creme sauce and no seasoning) and a baby calamari dish that was served in some tomatoe sauce that was the taste of canned (kilka v tomate)... We didn't finish even half of our dishes and asked for the bill (which of course had the salat we never ordered)... We will not be back and I advise others to stay away from a place of...
Read moreThe place seems frequented mainly by locals, we were five without a reservation and received a cold welcome. The menu is mainly fish, only one vegetarian dish and no children's menu proposals. We ordered some appetizers, a couple of salads, a seafood risotto and a stewed octopus. Prices are slightly more expensive than the average of the village, but justified by the very formal service. Good wine list by the bottle but poor choice of wine by the glass. It was difficult to converse with the staff, who spoke to us in Greek despite the fact that it is clear that we were foreign tourists. Good appetizers, salads and swordfish souvlaki, not exciting the seafood risotto cooked with cream (in Europe I have never tasted anything weird like this). Regarding the octopus it was unedible and I had leave on the plate because the sauce was burnt. The waiter practically disappeared after taking orders amd food was served by another staff who did not speak English. At the time of the bill I was not asked if we liked the meal, but I pointed out the problem of the octopus but the waiter did not even deign to answer, on the contrary he asked me if I wanted to leave a tip....
