Black Bettie's Grill — Restaurant in Prague

Ok, so i am not one who usually post reviews good, bad, or otherwise but I felt the need to share this. My girlfriends and i found this place and decided to grab a bite. Service was a little lacking but true is they were busy.

We received our food and first very generous portions for the price. And the food was absolutely amazing. But my friend was concerned only that she didn't ask for a more well done burger as everything came out medium. When asked by the manager if everything is ok she brought up this minor fact. But immediately the guy took offense to the comment and almost started talking to us like we were stupid. But then the kitchen manager came out to greet us. This guy was an absolute gentlemen and because of him completely saved this place from a bad review. He simply apologized to my friend that she didn't get what she wanted and asked us how he could fix it for us. We didn't want a thing, the respectful attitude and not taking offense to a criticism is man enough. And there is a huge difference from a man who knows how to speak to a woman. We would come back just to be served by this guy again, many props to you in the kitchen do the servers job by attending to us... We thank...

didn't have a good experience on our first visit after covid to be honest.. when we ordered drinks and appetizer gf had to wait quite some time for her cider and our appetizer order (onion rings) was completely forgotten.. table was dirty - had some dried juice/sauce on it, the menus were sticky, when I ordered small Breznak beer I got big Breznak, when I ordered small Krusovice I got small Breznak, the 20% discount card is now 15% apparently.. I wouldn't even care about all these but what made us really upset was that when our onion rings finally came (halfway through eating our burgers) they were overcooked and uneatable and this is the third time it happened in a row. On a positive note, the burgers, sauces and fries are still amazing (although slightly undercooked for a medium this time) and I had a great Whisky Smash. I would still recommend this place but I wish the onion rings were as good as they used to be and the little things were better. We will still keep coming but I feel like coming here or Sad Man's prior covid was much...

I guess I came at a bad time – the menu felt provisionary (printed black and white and used more times than it should've been), some of the things on the menu were not listed and some items listed were not in stock. The place was also empty to the point where I was wondering whether it was even open (Saturday noon). But again maybe its still just too soon after reopening or something..

That being said, the burger with fries was absolutely excellent. (I think I had the Kurt Cobain one). Doneness precisely as ordered, free amazing toppings (excelleng jalapeno one!), and I've never seen egg and onions so perfectly done on a burger. The fries also had the perfect ratio of crunchiness and texture, they had some amazing seasoning to go along with them. The bun was fresh and toasted, all around a great burger experience. Will be back to try the sandwiches. Waiter was pleasant and kind, recommended an off menu item. The beer was okay, nothing to write home about though. Clean glasses are always...
