ASIANS BEWARE
Don’t do an open kitchen if your staffs aren’t trained to handle all ethnicities and love showing faces to your guest. What a let down when the restaurant is located at the central of Prague. (Note that we have dine in multiple Prague restaurants, and their services put this to shame)
First of all, not all Asians are the same like not all Czech are rude, but what we experienced here are just downright racism. After getting our food an hour later due to Saturday night crowd which is understandable for the busy kitchen, we noticed that our sauces were missing for the steak.
Naturally I asked for it from one of the passing waitress nicely, and she asked back what sauces did we ordered. Without wanting to break the table conversations, I told her can you please check with your colleague because I am not sure and immediately she replied rudely I am not the one serving you and walked off.
She did pass the message and our table waitress did bring the sauces later on but we can feel that the whole atmosphere changed after that. We can clearly see that the rude waitress went around commenting on us to her colleagues without having the courtesy to at least hide it.
It was also made obvious to us that the other Asians table got the fake smile treatment like we did.
We ended our dinner with the dessert menu thrown at our table, then she causally just walks over to the next table putting down the same menu nicely and explaining it to the guest. While paying for our meal she even has the audacity to sarcastically asked no tips? Not sounding cheap but any wiser person would know this is NOT at all deserving of any tip.
Note to all future Asian diners; come to this place if you want to be treated like a second...

Issue started when we arrived and asked to be seated outside. We had kids and a dog (allowed in general) with us and outside was almost empty. Hostess seemed bothered by this request and said it wasn't possible. I questioned why and she said it would be full in 30min. Then she decided to sit us outside... When we left an hour later, half the terrace was still empty.
Food wise we had great starters to share. Soup and herring. Wine list is great! Mains were hit and miss. Schnitzel very nice. My flank steak came not sliced and with a recommendation to eat it against the grain. Steak knife not very sharp and therefor not a very good eating experience. In my opinion a cut like flank should always be sliced in the kitchen with a sharp knife - not only against the grain but also diagonally. Then it's delicious. Trout, yes it's a fish and it can have bones but this had about 10 bones in the first 3 bites. Clearly not a pleasant eating experience. We mentioned this to the manager whose reaction made it worse. We eat out a lot so we know what's normal, this was too many bones for a nice restaurant with corresponding prices. He said he'd remove it but option was to order some sides since the trout was the only none meat main. Which leads to the final point. Yes this is a steak and meat restaurant but to be so limited with the alternatives for those that don't eat meat isn't...
