A solid place to get very authentic Czech food, with a spacious dining area. While looking through the menu, I got tempted by the steak tartare — and you probably know why — so I decided to order it.
The dish was impressively presented on a large oval wooden board, with toasted rye bread generously brushed with what seemed to be olive oil. The amount of spices that accompanied the steak tartare was just right to mix everything into a flavorful final product, ready to spread over the bread.
The service was attentive and friendly but somewhat slow; my order took around 30 minutes, maybe even a bit longer. And one note to the kitchen: the best way to make steak tartare is not to mash the meat into a ground state — just chop it into small but distinct pieces. That way, you can truly appreciate and enjoy the essence of the meat’s flavor, which is exactly what steak tartare is all about.

Read moreI have to give 1 star because there is no 0. Such a shame. I called ahead to reserve a table but they said I just need to come over as they don’t take reservation. Upon on arrival I see many table with the sign reserved. We stand at the door a couple of minutes, numerous waiter swinged by, than I decided to approach one of them and asked a table for 2. Answer was straight no without knowing how long we should wait for a table. After this we left and started to search an alternative while this approximately 10 new guest arrive some of them as party of 2 some of them party of 4. Everyone got seated…. Such a shame that we didn’t have chance to try this place. I guess you should improve on organising or get a person in charge on arrival or at least a manager who we...
Read moreGreat location and genuinely beautiful restaurant with great beer.
We got seated in a quieter part of the restaurant, after asking to move to the more vibrant section got told those tables were reserved - they stayed empty until after we left.
Service was slow. The deep fried cheese was good, and I have no idea how they made boiled potatoes taste that good. The sausage was just ok, just. The pork knuckle was bad. It's supposed to have crispy skin (which you can see in other pictures on google). What I got was boiled fat which was inedible. Genuinely disgusting. We were really disappointed. I think it's very hit and miss which is a shame for how lovely...
