I have no idea why staffs were being so rude towards tourists only (my table and one next to us).
Last friday night, we arrived at 10PM, we politely asked in advance if the restaurant was still taking orders, the staff said yes and offered us a table. We ordered food, finished our dishes and asked for 1 more bottle of water. The male staff, for some reason, stared quite angrily towards us.
When we decided to check out, the female staff was, for some reason, rude to us when explaining what to be paid and when the paying machine was in trouble itself. My friends paid their own dishes and had the bill showing the price of what were paid. I ordered one same dished and knew the price. When i paid, the price was higher (i was careless not to double-check). I was then given a bill not showing what were paid, only the final price, so technically i wasn't sure what i paid in additions of my dishes (tips? or some extra service that we weren't aware of?).
The besides table checked out right after us, got the same rude attitude and they asked what was the actual reasons for the staffs to be rude to them. The answered they got was "Yes, thank you. OUT PLEASE!!" (yes, i don't dramatize it, that was the literal saying).
If the restaurant staffs don't want to take any orders after a certain time, please just inform the customers, making it easier for both parties. You don't have to take the orders, make food in such a hurry which hurts the quality reputation, rush customers to pay and be rude to them for reasons they don't understand.
This restaurant was suggested to me by my close local friend and got a very nice review from him in overall. However, i believe similar incidents very much hurt the actual good staffs there and the restaurant's reputation it supposes to have.
Hopefully the management could make it better about this.
P.S., i like the interior decoration...

A nice selection of tasty and reasonably priced starters and mains. An authentically friendly and fast service.
Of course, the most important thing, the food, fresh, sufficient portions, really delicious.
I will be here more often.
It's worth making a reservation at peak times, especially if you want to sit on the terrace.
25/08/03 I’ve been coming to Prague regularly for the last three years – and this Italian restaurant just next to my hotel has somehow become a part of my routine.
This week, I went there three times. Yes, it’s close – but it’s more than that. There’s this feeling of being remembered. The staff and managers, greet me like someone they know. That touches me more than I can say.
Outside, it feels like sitting in a quiet courtyard somewhere in Italy. Inside, it’s cosy, warm, and just very real.
The food is always on point – honest, tasty, never trying too hard. Prices and quality stayed exactly the same over time, which I truly appreciate.
Big thanks to everyone working here. It’s places like this that make a city feel a bit...
Read moreWow! What can I say other than you need to stop at La Corte and treat yourself to one of the best Italian meals in Prague! Their location is tucked away in the courtyard of a big majestic building and one entering you’ll be greeted with smiles and Czech hospitality. The walls of the courtyard silenced the busy streets and I felt transported into the countryside of Italy. The servers were fantastic and their English was nothing short of amazing. I never felt talked down nor ignored. They treated us to a fine dining experience without the pretentious high cost one might expect. Our server was just delightful. He took care of our entire dining experience from start to finish. The food was amazing! The salads were fresh and delicious. My husband’s dinner entree was a pesto pasta with cherry tomatoes and fresh cheese. And I ordered the chicken risotto. They were both perfectly cooked and seasoned. We finished our meal by taking our tiramisu to go. And when we arrived back at our hotel, it was nothing but extraordinary. I cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you La Corte! We...
