The place is well located, with an amazing SPA and very large rooms, but that's all there is to this Hotel. I honestly don't know how they have 4 stars, maybe the spa, but you can't have your hotel staff that barely speaks English. Now now, I'm italian, i can say these things.
Look, starting from the fact the room was indeed very spacious, the A/C system was probably installed in the '70s. No digital display, just a tiny lever that went either "+" or "-". Wanted to warm ourselves up a little, due to the chilly weather of the beautiful Prague, and we had to sleep with tracksuits and socks. The TV was ridiculously small for the distance from the bed and the toilet had this industrial fan that would completely deafen you while inside.
But back to the English point. 2 were the unpleasant situations we found ourselves in. There were 2 bottles of water in the room, 5 euro each, like (???), but whatever, so i went downstairs to ask the lady at the reception if the water from the tap was potable. She replied: yes, it is 130 Kč (??). So I go, "no lady, I mean the water from the faucet" - "yes, yes, you can drink. its 130 Kč". (*palmface). Eventually i tell her that i meant the running water in the bathroom, the one to wash hands and brush teeth. "ahhh, yes yes, you can drink for free"_ Duh, thanks.
This happened during breakfast instead, which was from 7 to 10 am. We get there at 9:20, so there is still a good 40 minutes of service, you know. Well, i get to the salty selection and i see two chafers (the ones with a flame underneath and boiling water to keep the food warm, i'm sure you've seen 'em); anyways, I see 2 of them and 1 was fully empty. So I ask the lady whether they were gonna fill it up with some scrambled eggs or something. She goes "no, that's no use" - implying, they don't use it. I ask her again, wondering why keep two chafers on the breakfast buffet if one was not meant to be used. I get a big "uhhhhhh, no". And she takes off. Dude. Funny enough, the morning after they were both filled, and, surprise surprise, scrambled eggs ! yay...
One last thing, beside the sanitizer gel bottle that squirts upwards at the reception that almost hit me in the face (not even joking), they didn't do our room on the 2nd of 3 days. When we came back from a lovely day tour, and found our room as we left it, i went to ask to the receptionist, who then handed me a poorly cut piece of paper where it was written that due to Ministry of Health policies, guests had to ask for their room to be made over. Smelt like bs to me, more like, we are short on staff and we figured we'd cut on room cleaning service. Anyway, I tell her that nobody gave me such "guideline" on our arrival and her reply was "well, I wasn't the one to check you in, so..". So, I guess I will leave a review the reflects the poor service and manners of the EA Embassy Hotel Prague as well as never come back.

When we travel to another country, we make an evident effort, leaving behind our comforts to contribute to the development of a foreign nation. Every person counts, not just as another number, but as individuals who express themselves in the world, sharing their experiences and opinions.||||I just experienced a threat while I was sitting and eating because I couldn’t remember my room number, even though I indicated where I was staying and provided my name. I was told that they would call the police. I believe this is pure racism. Is it so strange to see a young Latina woman traveling alone and having a coffee? I was told that the place needed to be cleaned, while over 10 staff members arrived to have breakfast in the same area where all the food was still served. Despite paying, I was told to walk to the reception, which I obviously refused, as I was already 10 minutes late trying to eat something.||||Considering the aggressiveness and hysteria of the receptionist, who clearly lacks experience with multicultural diversity, I tried to explain that I only wanted to have a coffee, as I have very specific dietary needs and there were no suitable products for me, but I still wanted to finish my coffee. Meanwhile, more staff members kept arriving, sitting down, and grabbing more food.||||Finally, I told the receptionist to go ahead and call the police because it seemed ridiculous to me that due to my situation of not remembering a room number, but with my name, which was perfectly located in the system yesterday, I would be threatened with a call to the police. I’m sure they have more important things to do than search for my name in the system.||||At this hotel, no one smiles.||There are many hotels with the same price and better amenities, and I was unlucky not to know the area before, but I don’t think I would return. Moreover, after the harassment I received—not from one person, but later from another woman who approached me demanding my room access code, which I of course refused to give—I now feel afraid to go on a tour all day, fearing that something bad might happen.||||The police never arrived; instead, they made me go through a humiliating experience in front of everyone, as if I were someone’s companion who had not paid the bill. Even if that were the case, it would still not justify such treatment.||||It is shocking that one woman would treat another this way, especially in this day and age, when the world is impacted by wars and where, if we don’t support each other as human beings, we end up causing unnecessary harm.||||I leave this as a warning to any solo female traveler: be careful, especially if our youth or beauty makes places like this question our honesty.||||PB||1st class Hospitality Expert||Event Specialist...
Read moreThe hotel is in a perfect location if you want somewhere quiet in Prague, away from the crowds, yet still within easy reach of the city. However, our stay came with quite a few issues.||We stayed in room 714 and paid extra to upgrade to a balcony room. The balcony was nice, but it only had one outdoor chair, which felt a little pointless, and the outside light didn’t work at all. Directly across the street is a church, which looks beautiful, but the bells ring every 15 minutes from 6am until midnight – not ideal if you’re a light sleeper.||Inside the room, the setup felt basic. We only received one pillow each, which made sleeping less comfortable, and the shower often lost pressure and dribbled down the shower head. Breakfast was included, and it really depended on the day – some mornings were brilliant with good variety, but others were diabolical, with limited choices and food quality not great. The plates provided are also side plates, which makes breakfast feel cramped.||The atmosphere of the hotel wasn’t overly welcoming either. Staff rarely smiled, and when we requested more toilet roll, it took nearly two hours for it to arrive. On check-in, the experience was confusing. We were simply told our room number and not given any directions. We ended up in a lift that only went to the 5th floor, before being told there are actually two wings to the hotel and that we needed to find another lift to reach our room.||On top of that, I had emailed the hotel in advance to ask if they could do anything to make the trip a little more special, as it was both my boyfriend’s birthday and our very first trip abroad together. I never received a response and of course, nothing was acknowledged during our stay. No little touches or effort to make it memorable, which was disappointing.||Overall, while the hotel has a great, quiet location in Prague, the lack of attention to detail, poor service, and absence of personal touches made it an...
