PORT lounge bar Prague — Restaurant in Prague

To the owner / Manager.. This Could have been a totally different review if there was honesty .. My wife wanted to smoke Shisha and i saw the sign that you have Shisha so i said lets just go here, seems nice, we were greeted by a smiling guy who held menus in his hand to which i replied with a smile :"we know what we want, Shisha, Pepsi..etc".. He said :" ah please sit here and my colleague will take the order but we take only cash here!"... "oops i thought to myself" but then i remembered that i saw an ATM right the at boat's entrance... Anyways he continued : "There is an ATM that takes ZERO commission" ,.so i nodded with my head and was going towards the ATM at the entrance but he said : "No ! Follow me" ..And we went to the boat's lower deck where there is a Strange ATM, anyway i inserted my card and it gave me a msg "For any transaction you will be charged 115 KC", i took my card and went back to the guy and told him that the Machine takes commission unlike his explanation, and no problem i will go to the one at the entrance which i did, but then The machine was showing "temporary out of order"... Pffft...I remembered i had EURos still in my pocket, i went up again and found the lady taking the order from my wife, i asked in Czech language : "Can i pay in EUR ? " She replied : Yes ! .. In my mind i thought "Great".. !!! So we ordered, enjoyed the evening then i pointed to the guy that I needed the bill.. He came saying irs 1,015 KC .. (knowing the rate is 25 between EUR and KC i calculated like 40€ , i had in my mind to leave 5€ as tips ..) So i said : "so 40€ , right ?" he said "No! We calculate different rate, it will be 51€ !!" .. I was shocked, he continued to convince me saying "Everywhere in Prague in restaurants and hotels they use different rate"... Well having half my family Between Poland and Czech republic , and living between Poland ,Egypt, Czech for 18 Years , been working in Tourism all my life and hated such practices i just called it dishonesty "! ..So i shortly replied to him "Not everywhere!" i paid and I left .. to summarize : 1- Misleading info regarding a super ATM that takes "Zero commission" hidden in the lower deck of the boat !?? 2- No info saying that the charge in EUR is different and calculated on 20 KC not 25 KC while the lady had the chance to simply inform me and say: "Yes sir, you can pay in EUR but the rate is different " .... I am leaving back to Poland , never coming back to Martina boat / Port lounge although the team looked nice and Shisha was nice, but the misleading info and dishonesty was what damaged the atmosphere and my evening ... Started good because they open 5 minutes before regualt opening. But then its started;

first gin tonic one of us got had a fly dried in to the top of the glass, but still in the drink. We told them about it, and the waiter went back and asked the manager. We saw he told him to just take it out and then he came back 30 sec later with the same glass/drink.

one of us got a glass of prossecco, and it was totally flat - we conplained, and then they brought a new one. (When we paid, they said we needed to pay for both).

On the menu the price is 95 for a glass of prossecco, but they without asking serve double up and so om with the price.

Asked for 3 of the most expensive Tequila (brown one), and got a cheaper one, but still charged for the expensive one…

Btw, they refuse to take card, only cash…....

I am a local and we just wanted to try a drink on a boat in Prague for the first time... The drink itself was ok and the staff was attentive and friendly, however, what is very NOT ok was NOT accepting a payment card... Are you implying you weren't able to get a contactless POS terminal like almost everybody else in the city yet you could get an entire cash machine and place it right next to the entrance to the boat? And it's not even a legitimate cash machine as per your visitor's reviews? Doesn't leave a good impression at all, can't recommend you go there for this sole reason. It just screams illegitimate,...
