Pub U báby — Restaurant in Prague

As yet another foreigner who unsuspectingly wandered into this absolutely through and through Czech pub, where not much English is spoken, I actually would like to leave a positive review. The lady working there or owning the place (I don't know) after some consideration seated me at a reserved table, cause all others were full. Probably I didn't look like I would stay long as I was on my own, but anyway. She was very friendly towards me from her attitude and gestures. I couldn't communicate much because I don't speak Czech, but I'm in Czech Republic and shouldn't expect everyone to speak English! She was attentive to all customers and asked if more drinks are needed. And for those who wonder just like I did, yes, card payment is possible, even for low amounts. And the prices are really really good compared to the touristic places. It's a very authentic little pub where you feel like everybody knows each other. So if you look for some touristic international place, this is not it. If you just wanna enjoy some nice beers in that part of Prague, in a cosy atmosphere, go for it, and maybe with a few words of Czech. Even small bits of local languages always open...

I loved it - went here last night after working nearby for years and never coming in. We entered into a totally full pub with Stammgaste near the front and only a tall table by the darts available. The kind woman running the entire bar came over and explained to us we couldn't drink there since it's for playing darts, but she kindly asked some others to consolidate their space so we could have a table.

The beer was cold and fresh in tall Pilsner glasses - and at the cheapest price in Prague, it's not what you'd expect but they recently dropped prices to reinvigorate the old bar. It was a beautiful reminder of old-school Hospody in Prague and Czech and a reminder to visit them more before there aren't any left.

Worst Waitress ever, she was completely rude from the beginning, firstly we thought that it was her normal act but when she brought beers there was empty chair where one of our friend was sitting before and had gone to the toilet. She kicked that chair, it was so rude. We drank couple of beers and when we called her to order some more beer, she was so rude that we change our mind and asked for the bill.
