Rest — Restaurant in Prague

Great food & upper class service, 5 stars - no question about that. 8 weeks ago I moved to Prague for professional reasons. In that timespan I was frequently eating at Rest restaurant because I’m a big fan of good gastronomy. Idk how many chefs work in that kitchen but I know one thing for sure that there must be some kind of competition going on who of them creates the greatest side dish. Seriously, it’s obvious that the protagonists of the dishes are from high quality resources and cooked perfectly on point. But let’s come back to the sides. These are seasoned in a lovely way - you simply have to experience it yourself. My favorite dish is the one with the deer loin. They add some kind of mushroom which makes the taste absolutely next level. There’re also supposed to be ‘more simple dishes’ like fish and chips, but you will be surprised how well it can be done. Last but not least: the specially designed dip to it, fits perfect! Keep up the good work & I will come by many more...

During our visit the waiter spilled three glasses of proseco on my shirt and paints (things happen) but instead of of immediately bringing the towel so I can dry my clothes he casually said I'm sorry and he started to clean the broken glass on the floor. It took 5 minutes for him to clean and he had to be reminded that the chair is also wet and needs to be replaced.

For the meal I have asked for gluten-free starter and based on his recommendation I'v made the order. Result was duck pate wrapped in the pastry. When I have informed him about the fact that wheat pastry is not GF he told me that they are not gluten free restaurant.

The steak ordered in medium rare turned out to be well done.

Overall the restaurant was almost empty and the service was slow.

Formal location, indoors and outdoors decorated gracefully. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing. Everyone is kind and the service is super. The food is not of less worth! Everything in the plate is placed beautifully. In my Country we say that you eat food with your eyes first, and this restaurant will not let you down. Not only your eyes will be pleased, but your mouth, too. As a "sweet lover" I have to say that the desserts are magical, I am surprised every time I try a different one (I have been there five times, already)!
