At Matylda's, we tried the famous Svickova and the restaurant's homemade sausage, along with a mix of half a pint of Pils and half a dark beer. While the beer was tasty, the food didn't convince us. To be fair: We hadn't had the national dish before, so we weren't sure what to expect. But the sauces tasted sweet overall and somehow inblanaced. Together with the beef, which tasted a bit like liver, we could hardly finish the plate. The two sausages were better, but lacked nice side dishes, it was really just bread and toppings.

FOR REAL!❤️ The chicken soup and tartar were absolutely amazing—I didn’t want the soup to end! However, the bread served with the tartar was a bit too oily and heavy for my liking. My dad eats with no salt or very little salt and they respected it and served the chicken soup accordingly. My mom ordered the duck, but it was too heavy for her, and she couldn’t finish it :( Almost everyone in the restaurant was Czech, which, in my opinion, is a great sign of a local favorite. Overall, a nice spot for authentic Czech...
