Clenliness|No issues. Superb all round.||Technology.|The keycard had an unusual wi-fi signal to tap to open the door (threw us a bit at the start) but worked once we knew where to put the card. The A/C was superb but the TV had no English subtitles so is redundant to English speaking tourists. On a positive note a kettle was in the room instead of those blasted nespresso contraptions!Simple and it boiled swiftly.||Bathroom.|Two foibles here. The first was the shower gel that produced a rash in both of us (we got our own after this). Tthis is not for the majority of people but it's worthy of note for sensitive skin. The bath is also VERY high to get into so those with mobility issues might struggle. No issues with supplies or cleanliness however. ||Bed|Poor. It hurts as the mattress was far too soft meaning it lacked support and the pillows were insane. One was the size of the back seat of a cavalier, the other the size of a napkin. Neither offered support as they were too soft. ||Service.|Excellent. Was recommended two resteraunts (1 we wnet to), had a taxi called for us on our check-out day and was given tips by a young lad who worked the reception. Cannot fault this. ||Breakfast bar.|Options became more restricted by the end of the week but there was still enough to go round with proper honeycomb on the buffet being a major boost. ||Overall this hotel would be superb were it not for a bed that you can get sleep on instead of being...
Read moreWhen we arrived we asked if there was a possibility to check in early. The receptionist was incredibly snappy with his response and replied “NO, check in is 2( which is absolutely fine, but no need for the snappy response).
When we finally got into the room we noticed immediately there was 2 single beds pushed together which is not what we booked. We had booked a double room with double bed superior room via the Clarion app. We decided to go down to reception as the room was not superior and we did not feel comfortable sleeping in 2 single beds. The receptionist again was rude and snappy and did not help us with the problem. He advised us that in the whole hotel there was no double beds and this is all they could offer. He offered a mattress topper but told us we could only get it from the Saturday when we had arrived on Friday morning. Luckily he then called to say they had found one. The cleaners then came in and put the topper on and pushed past my partner whilst she was putting things away which is unacceptable.
The room was dirty, the windowsill had bugs and dirt on it which has clearly been there a while. The shower couldn’t be used unless you held it as where it was placed it would have either fallen off and knocked us out or flooded the bathroom. We were advised they are an eco friendly hotel which is great but told that if we place our towels on the floor they will change them. This was the case on the first day but...
Read moreWe stayed here as part of a Jet2 city break package and it was perfectly fine.|We were warmly welcomed on arrival, warned not to use the ATM in their reception due to the high cost (we used the bank across the road instead). We were given the information about breakfast time and were told just to ask if we needed anything.|Our room was fine although very warm until we turned down the heating. We did request two more pillows as the one each we had were really soft. We found the bed comfortable but it was twin beds pushed together but with a separate duvet on each. ||The shower is over quite a high bath and the attachment was fixed to the wall, and we had to ensure the spray was directed at the wall so that we didn’t soak the floor. The towels could do with being renewed as they were quite rough and one had a hole in it and they could do with being bigger. ||Breakfast was good with hot and cold options, good choice of bread and pastries with cereal, fruits juice machine and coffee etc. The breakfast area isn’t very big and was a bit tight on space but it was clean and used crockery removed swiftly.||Great location , only 10 minutes walk from Wenceslas Square and if you take a walk around the local area, there’s plenty of restaurants, bars and coffee shops with a Tesco Express a couple of minutes walk away.||Overall, this is a decent budget hotel in a great location and we would...
