Located just outside Prague Castle, this appeared to be a hidden gem amongst the tourist hustle and bustle. It is not the biggest vineyard, but it has a cute little terrace, where you can drink in both the wine and the views.

How busy this place gets during the peak season, we're not sure? We arrived just after 12pm in April and had our pick of spots. We loved sitting here, sipping on Czech wine and taking in the views across the river to the old town.

The price we paid for the wine was a little on the high side for Czech prices (about £20 for 2 large glasses of wine). That said, it is just outside a touristy area of the castle. It is a vineyard. And we expected to pay a bit of a premium for the view. We didn’t mind this, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re visiting.

We enjoyed the view and the wine though - what's not to love?...

The gate was open so I wondered through. It was so beautiful, a vineyard on a hill overlooking a beautiful city. I made my way to the food stand and was throughly chided. I told them I traveled all the way to Prague to visit their winery (im tasting all over the world) and they didn't care. The food options were quite disappointing. The wine was decent, although extremely expensive. The price I didn't mind as I know is a low yield vineyard, but I was served in plastic cups. They know nothing about presentation and experience. Unless you're like me, on an insatiable global mission to visit Wineries in 100 nations, I'd skip. I don't think they want you there. Only to have a private event or to take your tourist...

The only thing this place has is a view. HOWEVER, you can get a better view from the Starbucks at the top of the hill. The wine is crazy expensive. It was $33 USD for 2 glasses of wine in a plastic cup. We had the Reisling and a Pint Noir and both were terrible. They do not taste like said wine at all. Wine in a box would be an upgrade. We are not wine snobs but live in a winery region in California and know what wine should taste like. On a 1-10 scale Presentations= 1, Taste= -1, Ambience=9. This is junk wine that feeds on money from tourists. If there were no tourists, this place would...

We were delighted to stumble across this bar from the gardens below. The views is spectacular and the few times we went it was practically empty. They produce around 1000 bottles of each wine a year and the riesling was easy to consume. I don't usually drunk white, but the 2021 Riesling will leave a lasting memory. It's not cheap but well worth the experience. Tried to go back a 3rd time and it was closed - possibly due to weather.
