We asked the ticket lady at the entrance if the garden was the entrance of the castle and she said YES. Tickets cost 50CZK/person. Climbed up with a baby stroller to the top only to find the access was CLOSED! Ram was made of bumpy stones and practically not walkable with stroller. We had to carry the stroller with the sleeping baby inside, along hundreds of stairs. People we met along the way also said they could not find the way up to the castle as the entrance was closed and went down.
When we asked our money back from the ticket lady, she made several calls to her colleague at the restaurant on top of the garden. She insisted the restaurant (which she said has the access to the castle) was open. But she finally refunded our money after some hassle. Totally wasting our time and energy.
PS. This garden IS NOT the entrance of the castle. There is a passage way to enter the castle ONLY IF the restaurant OPENs the access, if not, be prepared to climb up and down the not-so-beautiful garden. Instead of making a left (following google map),just keep going straight and follow the sign of Prague Castle. There are wide stairs that go up to the...

I went in April when there were lots of flowers in bloom. I imagine that it will be even more beautiful in a few weeks. Not many people were there, even though the rest of Mala Strana was crawling...
