This cafe has many glowing reviews but don’t overlook the not-so-great ones for the true experience. The reality is they lack basic hygiene (see other reviews), flavor, a bit overpriced and chaotic. We now wished we had read the bad reviews as well.
We sat inside since it was empty, it was hot with no fans! Asked the staff if we can borrow the tiny fan unused by the register and the lady said no and just turned it on from a distance (not sure how that helps anyone).
Noticed a couple of things that made me nervous waiting for the food. The lady that prepped everyone’s coffee looked sick & coughing. She blew her nose on a napkin and didn’t wash her hands. She continued frantically making everyone’s coffee and touching all the utensils. Some wooden boards that were previously used by guests were brushed off with those same snotty hands and put back on a stack of clean trays.
The flavors and textures of everything were super bland, dry and cold. Pancakes & Eggs Benedict were beautifully decorated but lacked any flavor. Pancakes were super dry and almost cold. 3 scrambled eggs were ok. Bacon strips were...

The pancakes were spectacular: delicate crunch on the outside, heavenly fluffiness on the inside. The mango was not some cheap syrup, but real mango pulp; my pancakes rested literally on a bed of roses (well, dried petals), sprinkled with walnuts, coconut and flowers. A feast for eyes and palate! My companion enjoyed eggs Benedict which came on sour dough bread and included sautéed zucchini, two eggs, a delightfully crisp toast - and squeaky cheese! The only thing that muddled the flawless experience e were the sweet potato fries: they were well-boiled and limp like a flower in a child's hand. Also, the Chipotle dip wasn't what I hoped for. Anyway: come and enjoy this...
Read moreNot just a delight for your eyes but most importantly for your tummy. Sweet&Pepper DAYS uses fresh and high quality ingredients which makes all the difference. I was impressed by the carved avocado flower on my toast - they know how to present their food for sure. The service is friendly but I would have wished for a little more flexibility when it comes to ordering extras, such as a simple egg to your meal. It worked out at the end but it needed a fair bit of convincing. Their outside area is nice but small and next to a rather busy road. Their amazing food makes up for some minor flaws and I would definitely revisit this...
