Hoxton Burgers Prague: Burgers A+, Drinks A Weapon of Mass Destruction

Alright, Hoxton Burgers — let’s break it down.

First off, the food? Solid. Very filling, very tasty, no complaints there. You’re not getting a revolutionary burger experience, but it’s definitely a good burger, and sometimes that’s all you need. A strong 4 out of 5 on the food alone — comforting, reliable, and hits the spot after a day of wandering around Prague dodging segways and stag dos.

Price-wise? Reasonable-ish. Not the cheapest option in Prague, but you’re kind of paying for a trendy, slightly “London in Prague” experience — and I can live with that. That said, if you’re just after the food and not the ambience, you can 100% get similar quality elsewhere for cheaper.

Now. The drinks. My God. I don’t know who was behind the bar, but they were clearly trying to kickstart prohibition. I’m no lightweight — I respect a strong drink — but these cocktails were on a different plane of existence. That Bloody Mary? I swear I saw my ancestors. And the margarita? Let’s just say it tasted like regret with a salt rim. Even the beer had a punch to it. Two shots later, I was spiritually levitating.

So yeah — don’t go here for a casual drink unless you want to fight God.

Atmosphere? Vibes were decent but weirdly dark inside. Like, genuinely hard to see your food. Bring a torch. Or night-vision goggles. Or maybe it’s part of the mystery, who knows.

Would I go back? For the food, yeah. For the drinks? Only if I’m feeling brave and have no plans the next morning. Also: definitely book a table, especially if you’re going peak hours.

⭐ 3.7/5 — Food’s a yes, drinks are a threat, lighting is theoretical. Book ahead and...

I am going to go against the flow here. Burgers are okay — nothing spectacular, and for my taste, too much mayonnaise. But decent. Atmosphere is cool — I like the design. Service was quite odd. We arrived to the restaurant and found it was half empty. My husband asked (in Czech) if we could be seated, and the server said no, that the only available tables were outside. Then, when we said “okay, thanks” and started to leave, the server said a table had just opened up. We ordered and ate, and the same five or six tables remained empty throughout our stay (of around an hour). Other tables opened up during this time, and people came in and seated themselves without the servers saying anything about the table being reserved. We felt quite unwelcome. We mentioned our negative experience when we paid, and the server was very defensive — saying that there had been reservations, and the table he offered was the only one available, but really? The entire restaurant was half empty during the hour we were there. It was also odd that, when we paid, he mentioned that we could leave a tip — it was the first time a server has even mentioned that to us in Prague. On the plus side, the other server in the restaurant was quite pleasant, and she was doing a good job. But all things considered, we probably won’t return b/c of this...

Went there today, were seated right away and the waiter explained everything. The service was absolutely immaculate, the waiter (Kirill) was extremely nice and professional. We started off with some drinks and then ordered our food. By the time the food came, we were starving, so we were really looking forward to eating. Once we took the first bite, we were transported into another dimension. We tried 6 different burgers, and all were absolutely divine. The bun crispy on the inside and soft on the outside. The patty grilled to perfection, juicy and crispy at the same time, with the right amount of sauce, not too overpowering so the meat could shine. The sides were also a 10/10, and were an absolute delight dipped in the chili mayo. The slaw was a great balancing addition, so were the chile cheese fries, which were LOADED with cheese sauce, guacamole and jalapenos. All in all, it was extremely delicious, so much so, my father had to go in and order a second burger, saying it’s the best burger he’s ever tasted in his entire life. If we were locals, this would definitely be our go to spot. In summary, this restaurant is a 100/10,...

Checked out this spot on the 27th of December and had a pretty solid experience overall. We went for the chicken fillet burger with cheese bomb, a smash burger, and a couple of beers. My wife was all in on the smash burger – said it was top-notch. As for me, the chicken burger wasn't my favorite. Guess I should've stuck with beef since that's what they're really good at. The cheese on the burger was more like the plastic-wrapped kind, not quite what I was expecting. Gave it another shot on the 29th and switched to the beef smash burger – now that was a winner! Loved the smoky flavor and how it was cooked. And the homemade tartar and BBQ sauces? Just amazing. We're planning a group trip back in March with about 20 people. This place has a great vibe. Just a small tip – the music's cool, but a bit softer would be even better. And a suggestion for the menu: how about some onion rings? They'd be a hit, I'm sure. Looking forward to the next visit!

Genuinely one of the best if not the best burgers I/we have had. We decided to come back on our last day just to try them again. The price is abit more expensive but worth the taste and quality. When it comes to the fries they were also delicous and the sauces have a very good price given that we expected a normal "ketchup pack" that you get at other burger places or mcdonalds, due to the size and taste that they have. The staff was also very kind and the atmosphere was great. The place was packed both times when we visited... so during lunch and dinner time you can expect to wait a few minutes but you can make a reservation in advance. I tried the Hoxton burger and the smash cheeseburger. I would not recommend the cheesebomb extra together with the cheeseburger because it is already rich in cheese flavour. All in all I would 100% recommend.
