After a second visit 2 years later, I want to change my review to "perfect" and "you have to go there!" The Portobello burger is still extremely delicious: I would say an institution and a must-try when you are in Prague 7. But this time, the service was superb! Very, very quick, nice, and helpful. I'm so glad that I went back to Vegtral and for sure I'll visit this restaurant next time, when I'm back again to Praha 7, the best neighbourhood in Prague!
...2 years ago... Usually, I like to give only positive reviews about places I really, really like, but this time, I felt like writing something more specific. First and foremost, the famous Portobello burger is famous for a reason: it is super delicious (if garlic doesn't bother you)! Really recommend that one! However the service was unfortunately a bit questionable, you were kinda forced to sit downstairs despite upstairs looked more inviting // after eating you had to wait till you could order something else, however you'll get your second order but seconds later all guests were kindly confronted with the bill and that everybody should leave (around 9:15 p.m., quite some time befor closing). Maybe it was just a bad day, and something else bothered the lady working there. Anyway, go there for the (garlic-) burger, and don't go there close to...

Vegtral has been one of the favourite places for me in Prague, and I kept going there, often inviting my friends to come with me, primarily because of how good their food is (my favourites: Linda McCartney's burger with cranberry jam and a halloumi tortilla). But, each time we were coming back, the restaurant's door was almost always closed before our faces.
I understand that it could be hard for small businesses to be working at the full capacity these days but being clear about your opening hours would also be a good idea to retain your guests' loyalty. For instance, yesterday we were hoping to get a quick nice meal before everything closes, and came to Vegtral at 9:18pm, and were told that the place had already closed. Before that on multiple occasions we were also persistently told to leave early.
The food is worth it but the attitude towards potential guests is something that could put you off the most...
Read moreBe aware of this person. She is the most horrible and disgusting waiter that this planet had ever witnessed. She is working here for the last 4 years and it looks like that everyone is absolutely ok with it. She is a sole reason I stopped going to this place as every day is a bad day for her. Despite food being amazing this will RUIN your experience and will make you to regret coming to Prague. Save yourself as she will ruin your day, week and possibly a year. It is really sad as the food itself is to die for. She does not need to speak English. She should BE NICE to the customers despite the language they speak on. After she forgot to bring me my order she came back with attitude and even didn’t brought the knife and the fork. This is absolutely disgusting. Please isolate her from your clients as she damages your business. Information about her miserable behaviour was shared in all the Prague groups that I was...
