Copenhagen Coffee Shop Tour I
In my book, INSPIRE and GET INSPIRED, I highlighted The Coffee Collective as my favorite place for Kenyan 🇰🇪 filter coffee. Although they didn't serve my all-time favorite, Kieni, last week, they had an impressive selection of Ethiopian 🇪🇹 coffees, featuring only Ethiopian coffees on the menu.
The day before the World of Coffee event, our entire team visited The Coffee Collective and indulged in a coffee feast ❤️. To experience the essence of Ethiopia, we ordered a variety of coffees: washed, honey, and natural processed filter coffees, along with a washed and a natural espresso. We even tried a coffee soft serve 🍦.
What more could we wish for? We had an amazing time sipping through these exceptional coffees. However, one thing that truly stood out was their outstanding customer service. I visited The Coffee Collective three times, and each time, the service was extraordinary. Every barista was super friendly, always smiling, and meticulously prepared each coffee. I felt genuinely welcomed and valued as a customer.
Their dedication to making customers happy was evident in every interaction. Thank you for the amazing...
Read moreI've tried this place a few times now, where service always seems to go quite slow and generally isn't very good. One of the times when I ordered an Americano, we we're told that it simply wasn't an option. This time we knew that and therefore ordered two filter coffees, because we also we're on the go. It wasn't too crowded, but there was a little line. We waited about 10 minutes and saw others, who were in line after us, get their coffees before us. I then had to ask when we were getting our coffee and answered "it will be 5 min". I then asked to get our money back, and were of course offered to order something else, but we simply didn't want that. Coffee in this place is very good, but because of the waiting time and not only bad communication internally between workers, but also to custumers, I can't recommend this place. 15 minutes for a filter coffee is...
Read moreThis is the place to be if you want certainty AND consistancy in having a nice cup of coffee.
You will find baristas that are passionate about every aspect of the coffee that they are serving, and more than happy to share their expertise if you're feeling doubtful.
The only downside is that you are going to miss out on that "old café" vibe since it's in one of the most expensive food markets in all of Europe, and it's also a chain of several coffeebars throughout Copenhagen.
But I also want to mention that the coffee here is very reasonably priced, and probably the only place in Torvehallerne that's reasonably priced.
I usally take Espresso, and they prepare it very well. I also tried the Filters and once a Cappuccino. I used to work as a barista for 5 years, and I can say that you can never go wrong with...
