Open-face toasted rye bread sandwiches are a Danish staple~ There are several vegetarian and vegan options at this smørrebrød shop located at Torvehallerne Food Hall (Nørreport station). Both cash and card accepted. Very whole-food plant-based focused with unique flavours! Available a la carte, or there’s also a vegetarian Green Combo (DKK 125) that is veganisable. During my visit in July 2024, this set consisted of Mushaboom (fermented mushrooms and vegetables, artichoke puree, vegan mayonnaise, pickled onion); Potato Potardo (creamy roasted baby potatoes, herbed lovage cream, and alfalfa sprouts); as well as Halløg Mad (mashed Ingrid peas and onion). Friendly vibrant small smørrebrod cafe offering wide variation of modern toppings with fresh toasted ryebread. Accompanied by good quality coffee or locally brewed kombucha. Toppings are fresh made every day, including less mayo and more veggies and tasting absolutely delicious. Perfect place for quick breakfast or lunch break. A really lovely little food spot in the food market here!!! This was the first place we stopped for food in Copenhagen and we were immensely impressed. Really lovely service and many options for vegans, all clearly labelled and DELICIOUS! If you’re vegan and want to try traditional smorrebrød, this is the spot for you :) We had our smorrebrød with some of their on tap elderflower kombucha which was absolutely stunning, and ate in their little seating area in the sun.
