It was great. Awesome service, the space is clean with normal tables and traditional low tables. We book from 2pm to 5pm the same day. We had a vegetarian option on a menu with udon (starter + miso soup + rice+ udon+ dessert). The miso was perfect, and the veggies in the udon were fresh and everything super tasty. Some of the starters like the salad were "average", however we had 3 small pieces really tasty and well presented (one with spinach, one with pumpkin and one with cabbage- this is changing everyday, the waitress said). If you take a starter out the menu, the portion is larger. We had some seaweeds and the taste was really well balance between the taste of the sea and the salt/sweetness. The udon were fresh, very tasty and the broth really good. The rice was maybe not cook enough and not tasty at all. But I used their sweet soya sauce for the plate my friend had and that changed everything. The dessert was the only non traditional dish (ice cream with industrial small waffle ) but it was ok.

So I recommend this...

Top rated for the food, the under the base rated for the service, gives an average experience. Like all other reviews I would also 100% recommend the food! It tasted good and was a taste of fresh produce. They are now very friendly but it does not mean that you as a guest must ask for the menu card several times before it comes. We waited for around 20 minutes with no menu card on the table or any waiters taking care of us. Not only that, we ordered our drinks but it never came until we finished the food and even though they put our order of the drinks on the bill as if we have already drunk the drinks. They didn't even notice their mistake. This was so unprofessional! As for the restaurant's atmosphere, yes, on a good day you can call it authentic. The eating place has poor ventilation and you can smell your clothes and hair like you have been to a Grill Bar or as if you just have cooked a whole dinner in a kitchen. My best advice is to order the food for take-away and eat the good...

It's a real hidden gem of a restaurant, hardly visible from outside if you don't know where it is. Despite being loctated on a busy street, entering the restaurant immediately transports you somewhere else entirely. The low tables and simple but elegant interior design all immerse you in the atmosphere. The service is exceptional. They are fast, attentive and always helpful, but most of all incredibly polite. They helped choose fitting dishes from the menu and answered any questions about the food. Make no mistake, the food looks, feels and tastes authentic. We were unfamiliar with a lot of the aromas and spices, but the high quality just makes everything make perfect sense. We were a group of three people, took three of the menus and there was more than enough food for an incredibly fair price. Cannot recommend this place enough, if you're looking for a cozy, high quality restaurant or are simply curious about...

I have wanted to visit this place for a long time but have been impossible to get a table as they only toke phone bookings doing opening hours - but now it has changed and it is possible to booking online. So number one to visit this place you must book a table. Second the interior is a old-school Japanese vibe but in an nice way - but when you book remember to think about what type of table you want to sit at as they have both Tatami and normal tables Third, the service was nice and very elegant in a Japanese way. Last the food was good - felt authentic in a nice way. Of course it is not like being in Japan but for being in Copenhagen this place does a very good job. I had the Tokyo special menu. It was nice with a good variation of different food but a lot of food also. The highlight was definitely the Sukiyaki and don’t forget to eat it with a raw egg

From the moment I set foot in the place I was transformed to Japan. The interior is just so beautiful and immersive that I knew it must be the real deal. We ordered the full menu with Sashimi and Shabu- Shabu. The starters were delicious and well seasoned, then we got miso soup which was incredible and then came the main. It was just like in Japan. The sashimi fresh and tender. The tuna and crab were really tasty. Then the shabu shabu came and the amount is more than enough. The meat was so tasty combined with sauce. The vegis were good too especially with the rice and a great hokaido beer. We then had a great matcha ice cream and japanese tea. I would like to add that the staff was soo good and so friendly. I felt very welcome. I will defenitly go back again- and I hope you will try it out if you are curious about japanese cusine.
