Kate's Joint — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

I was there with 2 other people, and it's a very cute little restaurant! Fun and abstract decor, making good use of the very limited space they have, and the restaurant itself is situated on the side of a pleasant little pedestrian street. The waiter was very quick to get us seated, and was very quick to take our order when she saw we were ready. The food itself arrived within 10 or so minutes which was also very admirable.

The starters that we got was great. Pita bread with 6 different types of dipping. Tasted delicious, except for the jalapeno pesto that just tasted like pain, but some people are bound to like that.

But then... Yeah, our main dishes arrived, and I was just not impressed. I don't think I have EVER been at a restaurant where I straight up was not interested in eating more of my food. I got the Aloo Palak Paneer, and it just wasn't tasty. It lacked flavour, it wasn't salted well enough and I honestly don't even remember if I even tasted curry in it. The other people I were with got a Malay style curry and a Pandang, and those were fine. I wouldn't say they were great, but they were considerably better than what I got.

However, the person I was with had been there before, and she insisted that the food was way better back then. I believe her, and it is entirely possible they were just having a bad day in the kitchen. That kinda stuff happens, but I am not a fan of paying 140 DKK for food so bland I would rather...

Few weeks ago we had the pleasure of eating at Kate’s joint, welcomed by extremely sweet personnel who also let out little and well behaved dog be inside the restaurant and prepared and served a very delicious vegan meal.

Today, we were planning to enjoy another evening with our dog but we have been met by rude and unpleasant personnel being very explicit about dogs being unwelcome in the restaurant. Needles to say that we won’t eat here anymore given the lousy attitudes towards dogs and their owners.

The atmosphere was really pleasant and the interior was cozy and nice. I really liked how if was decorated. The food tasted absolutely amazing and there is something for everyone. I really enjoyed it and you get a lot of food, so you’ll feel full and satisfied. The staff also seemed friendly and nice, and when I asked questions, they seemed happy to answer. Go here for a cozy dinner, like I did, or maybe a nice lunch. You won’t regret it!🎊😊

EDIT: I’ve visited more than one time now, and the staff is still as friendly and nice as before. This time I ordered a hummus, some kind of aubergine in chili dish and my friend ordered another delicious dish. Be careful when choosing mine, since it’s really spicy. I usually love spicy food, like eating whole raw chilis but this dish I spicy!...
