Livingstone — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

We booked a table for eight and knew the restaurant was busy, so we weren’t expecting super quick service—but what we experienced was beyond disappointing.

Our food took an hour and a half to arrive. When we asked about the drinks we had already ordered (juice and coffee), we were told they would take longer to prepare than the food. In the end, they only arrived after we had already been served our food. We also requested a jug of water so we’d have something in the meantime, but it was never brought to us. On top of that, we were only given one menu to share between all eight of us, making ordering unnecessarily difficult.

After an hour and a half—by which point only one of our five dishes had actually been served—a waiter came over and told us we had to move from our table upstairs. They tried to frame it as a courtesy, saying they “understood they were busy and behind, so they wouldn’t be kicking us out.” But given that we had barely received our food or drinks, it was beyond frustrating to be spoken to as if they were doing us a favour.

To top it all off, when our food did finally arrive, the food was that meant to be warm was ice cold.

While the food itself (at least the stuff that wasn’t meant to be warm) wasn’t bad, the service was truly abysmal. I understand that restaurants can get busy, but this level of disorganization and disregard for customers is unacceptable.

It is a nice location based brunch place but not anything more. We waited for over an hour to get 9/10 of the dishes we ordered. Someone came and asked for the missing item and never came back to us again and I had to go to them to ask again when we finished all we got served and eventually we lost hope on getting help from the employees there for what we deserved and actually paid for, and were not able to wait for another hour to get it under the situation that we already finished the food we got served and been waiting for 30min more so we just left. And sadly nobody was actually at least gave an apology for our table or even tried to explain why it happened( none of them cares I guess) which was definitely not a pleasant experience to spend your weekend for. We understand you are busy but it is not acceptable as a business that you accepted that much reservations and just let your customers waiting for extremely long time and just let them stay there and hope for sth will be served. Besides that, food was ok just to be fair if you wanna wait for an hour or more for it. In general I came with expectations and good mood but left with disappointment...

IMO not worth a visit, unless you are going for a coffee or light snack. We were there during lunch hours, trying out the cafe as we were looking for a place to host a large party (Around 30 guests). After sitting down we were told ordering could only be done in the outside bar, thus no one would be taking an order at our table (Even though there was plenty of staff).

Shortly after ordering the noise of young and loud staff was almost deafening when seated inside, normally I would not have an issue with staff enjoying themselves, especially when we were the only people seated inside, but this was too much in consideration with the quality of the food and drinks.

We tried all their beers which are specialty beers (Although there is nothing special about them), they were all poor and made you want to order a regular Carlsberg or Tuborg, which they do not serve.

I had the mushroom pasta, which was bland and boring. All in all not a great experience, but I guess this place should be good for anyone wanting a quick refreshment while enjoying the view and location (Which is really all that the cafe has...
