Dreadful service, just the worst. We were tired, hot, hungry and thirsty when we arrived on a quiet Tuesday evening. The place was 20% full only.
Despite this it took 20 minutes to bring a menu. When we asked for one we were glared at by the waitress with a look of sneering and contempt.
The drinks took a further 20 minutes to arrive - so this was 40 minutes since we sat down - to get just a 7up and some tap water! We had to pay 6 Euros for tap water as well which did not sit well with me at all.
We ordered some more drinks straight away but 45 minutes later they had not arrived. We asked for it twice but it did not come. Then the waitress brought it out - then stopped, and put it down on a waitress serving station by the door, and went to take someone else’s credit card payment instead!!! Then she went off to do something else instead. So I had to ask for the drinks to be brought to the table YET AGAIN and then I was glared at AGAIN. The male waiter tried to help but the female ones were horrible and treated me like I was a huge inconvenience to their lives.
Food: it was ok but 21 Euros for a small bowl of one salmon fillet and some leeks? Really?! And 16 Euros for a pizza which was burnt at the edges!
Paying the bill was difficult - it took 25 minutes to get someone to actually come to the table.
So, ok food, but appalling service from two waitresses with big chips on their shoulders. They should be fired for treating people with so much contempt. They need to learn that the customers are paying and should be greeted with smiles and treated like they are welcome; I felt unwelcome and like they’d spat in my food when it was in the kitchen.
Given the food poisoning I came down with that night it seems likely they did just that - or worse.

Read moreNestled within the enchanting Tivoli Gardens, this delightful Italian restaurant is a gastronomic oasis. With an ambiance that evokes the rustic charm of a Tuscan villa, it captivates patrons before they even peruse the menu. We indulged in their pizza and gnocchi and some capresse salat, representative dishes of the Italian culinary heritage.
The pizza was a triumph - the crust was expertly baked to a perfect equilibrium of chewiness and crunch. The abundant cheese, molten and savory, perfectly complemented the robust tomato sauce and fresh toppings.
Conversely, the gnocchi did not mirror the same success. Although they were pillowy and cooked to the right texture, they lacked the flavor one anticipates with Italian cuisine. Their modest taste was somewhat remedied by the addition of salt and pepper, which we had to request.
In a nutshell, this quaint Italian eatery in Tivoli Gardens is well worth a visit, especially for the pizza aficionados. While the gnocchi left room for improvement, the sumptuous pizza and the restaurant's enchanting setting provide a near idyllic dining experience, embracing you with a warm...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant for lunch on our first trip to the park, it is absolutely beautiful and surrounded with luscious gardens. The food we had was incredibly delicious, I can’t fault it and the staff were very kind and attentive. But one point I had, that hopefully can be improved upon, was the menu. Some items are flagged with a little marker to tell you that it’s “plant based” but if you read the description of what that marker means on the menu it says something along the lines of “plant based, though may contain animal product traces”. I think that this should be changed as a dish that is plant based cannot have ANY animal products in it. I found great difficulty finding something actually suitable for me to eat on the menu as I am vegan. I ended up having a margarita pizza without the mozzarella as it was the only dish I was able to alter to make fully plant based. I hope this oversight in the menu can be changed soon to accommodate dietary restrictions and...
