Ponte Vecchio — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

We had our expectations set perhaps slightly too high from the other reviews here. This place isn't at all bad, but it's not a 4+ star restaurant. We had pasta and a main course each, plus a bottle of wine the waiter recommended for the food. Portion sizes are generous and the wine paired well with the food. The wait staff are friendly and attentive. Especially the pasta was great! Points for all of that. :) But the place's atmosphere and internal decor are lackluster at best and somehow tacky here and there... it's the selection of lamps, plastic tabletops and bread plates, brick tapestry on the wall instead of chiselling away plaster to expose the actual bricks, etc. that does it for us. It just brought the feeling down from "restaurant" to "cafe" for us, and I don't think they intended that. The main course also needed elevation, especially in terms of its presentation: they poured sauce all over all the items on the plate, making it hard to tell where parma ham ends and veal begins, and totally masking the taste of fried veggies. A pity, since the dish wasn't awful per se, it was just closer to family style comfort food than restaurant class elevation. Prices definitely place the restaurant in the higher end of mid-range (200-240 DKK for a main course). In conclusion: great place with great potential, and not at all bad food, but for the prices they charge, they need to work on presentation, both as far as internal decor...

Tourist beware. The food was bland and over cooked. They served us beer in a flimsy plastic cup while others got glass. After the mediocre dinner we received 2 checks for some reason and then were given an amount to pay immediately via credit card. After we paid we started to review the receipts. Not only were the receipts wrong but they charged us 3% over and above everything. When we showed them the mistake they immediately grabbed both receipts expressing that they were not our receipts and the waiter made a mistake. Before we could read any further they offered a new receipt with the right items and then said no refund could be made to our card. We forced them to pay us equivalent of $60 to make up the difference. It felt like a hustle and it was. Steer clear unless you are with a local and even then the food...

Really good pizzas. It’s already few times we come here and we never got disappointed on the taste. Really thin and crusty.

UPDATE : as Promised I change it to a 5 ⭐️ as you improved the quantity of mushrooms on the capricciosa. But I would have like to see actual pieces of truffle on the truffle pizza, especially for the price you sell it.

The only thing, and this is the reason why i give only 4 stars, every time I ordered a 32. CAPRICCIOSA , it was really really poor on mushrooms 🍄(barely 10 slices) and it’s only 4 ingredients for this pizza. When actually my girlfriend ordered a 41. QUATTRO STAGIONI with much more ingredients, 6, in it, she had more mushrooms slices. So i don’t really understand that. Of course I will change it for a 5 stars if I see an improvement from the restaurant next time we...
