The Sandwich — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

Had quite a few options over several days. I liked most things I tried. Very tasty bread - fresh/soft and toasted just right. Fresh ingredients. The place seems to get a lot of traffic, so it makes sense that everything is fresh.

The menu is a bit all over the place, I couldn't figure out the difference between the sandwich and the deluxe sandwich. Panini is just slightly more toasted.

The place is tiny, so most people get the food to go. But then just two people are working in the kitchen with one of them also taking orders. So expect a wait. The shortest I got was 10 minutes and there was no one before me. 15-20 seems...

The food is acceptable, but the waiting time for a very basic sandwich is way too long.

Also, they are using some very tacky marketing methods. The ‘Røget laks’ (smoked salmon) sandwich had avocado in the picture and the price reads ‘50kr’.

However, I just asked, to make sure if the sandwich also contains avocado. The guy confirmed. In the end, he charged me 60kr, because it seems like the avocado was extra.

Don’t put avocado in the picture and write 50kr. next to it if the avocado is 10kr extra!!! At least don’t confirm if I’m asking you if it contains avocado! It’s just...

Used to be a regular, but not after my last visit here - charged me double and refused to rectify the mistake. I paid for mine and a friend's lunch by card, and could see from the terminal and my bank app that it went through. Nevertheless the owner said that it hadn't and insisted I pay again with another card, assuring me that if both were charged I could email them for a refund. Sure enough, I was charged twice, I emailed them with full details of the transaction and card used, but the owner refused to issue a refund unless I gave him access to my private...
