I came here with one other person on a Friday evening. It wasn't too busy, and we were seated immediately by one of the waiters.
The dinner menu didn't have lots of variety, but I still found a dish that I though sounded nice - the minced beef with fried egg. It came with a small salad, gravy, beetroot and potatoes. The menu said it came with fried eggs, but it only came with one - not a problem, but misleading. The beef itself was nice, but had a bit of gristle/fat that made the texture a bit odd sometimes. The potatoes could have done with more flavour, but were nice. The gravy was the right consistency, but again could do with a bit more flavour. The egg was perfectly fried, and the portion size was perfect.
The Carlsberg beer we ordered was cold and arrived promptly.
We had a nice waiteess too, and the service was fast. We were asked by two separate people whether the food was ok as well, which was nice.
The whole thing came to just under 400 kroner which wasn't bad, and the food was worth it....
Read moreI would like to share our last week.experience We were a group of Spanish people dining. The restaurant has two young Argentinian waitress which, listening to us, tried to attend us in Spanish but, surprisingly, the restaurant manager prohibited them to do so, with the argument that "We are in Denmark, so we must speak in Danish or English". At the same time, during the dinner, she quarreled continuously (in public) to the waitress about this. (A spectacle). On top, when the girls were being very kind and professional with us. Why this absurd attitude? If there are waiters speaking foreign languages, why don´t take advantage of this? It always be a better service for customers, which are always more comfortable being attended in their mother tongue. We dined well, but we left the local with a very poor feeling about the restaurant, and without understand how in a Nordic international capital, these attitudes can take place. Unbelievable. Hope this comment could help to meditate and don´t make same...
Read moreAs a Dane I feel sorry for the staff, they obviously have not been taught in how the “Julestemning” is. The kitchen seems to have no idea of how Danish Christmas food is made, the “hønsesalat” tasted of vinegne, and the “Flæskesteg” had no fried ribs and I could go on.. I am sad rather than mad.. the owners are the reasoning why turists opts for McDonalds.. eew
..update, after the rather rude response from the business, I have to let the crowd know..
The staff expressed on several occasions, that they were afraid of getting fired if:
1 - they spent too much time at the tables 2 - if the guests helped them with cleaning the tables.
Sounds like good management..
The fried fish was raw inside, and it was impossible to let the staff know, Unless you had to get more to drink.
The beer was flat, and the snaps was under measured in accordance to the metric scale..
I strongly advise future guests not to visit, pay a visit to...
