Restaurant Chapung - Rooftop & Bar — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

My friends and I heard good news about the restaurant Chapung in Copenhagen. So we decided to give it a try and come over from Hamburg. In May 2023 I reserved a table for September 23rd for the six of us by email and received a proper confirmation. On Sep 19th I wrote an email to check if everything is as expected. But it was not. The restaurant is completely booked for a private event on that day and I had been neither asked nor informed. As a compensation we were offered to come another day (which was useless for us since our travel schedule did not allow that) and complimentary drinks. Dear reader would like to be treated that way? Please decide for yourself if you find my rating appropiate.

Everything about the place is hugely disappointing. We came for a celebration, but the food was really low quality and the service was not good either. We ignored other bad reviews in hopes we’d be proven wrong, but it was not the case. The food was so cheap, the starters in particular were terrible. We would not have been happy paying 1/10th of the price that we did! When mentioning issues upon paying the bill, no suggestions were made to rectify and no compensation offered. Avoid...

Husbond invited for a date night, and we had a great time. Really good atmosphere. A bit querky decor, nice seperation between the tables and comfortable sound level. We got the tasting menu with wine pairing. It tasted fine, was nicely plated at the food was finished of in visual sight. What made the night perfect was the Greek waitor, Stamatis. He knew the menu well, was very polite and attentive, and just made sure the courses came the right pace leaving us time to just enjoy...
