We had a deeply disappointing experience at this fine dining restaurant. After nearly a month of travel, we were looking forward to a special meal, but what we received instead was a surprisingly rude reception when we asked for a table.
From the moment we entered, the attitude of the staff — particularly the hostess or waitress who greeted us — was cold and dismissive. I completely understand that it was a busy time, and working in hospitality can be stressful, but there's a basic level of courtesy that should be extended to every guest, regardless of how they look or where they come from.
We couldn’t help but wonder if the way we were treated had something to do with our appearance — we’re Asian, and admittedly, after weeks of traveling, we might not have looked as polished as other guests. That said, it was upsetting to feel so unwelcome in a space that prides itself on service and sophistication.
We ultimately left without dining, not because there wasn’t a table available, but because the attitude we were met with made it clear we weren’t wanted. It’s a real shame, as we had heard good things about the food, but no meal is worth enduring that kind of treatment.

Read moreI was so excited to try this restaurant, and especially excited to try their “Taste of Denmark” menu. When I arrived for my reservation, however, I was informed that I could not order the special menu, as it is something that must be ordered in advance on their website. There was no indication that this needed to be done, through email or text or even on their website. My waiter told me I could order each component of the special menu a la carte, though. As I looked at this option, however, it meant I would need to pay 200+ DKK more than the price listed for the special menu. Disappointed, I ordered two items off the a la carte menu: the scallops, which were incredible, and the glazed ribeye, which was underdone and had more gristle than the ribeye I have in my freezer at home. I expected more from such a nice restaurant, and have left quite...
