Read moreAwful, overpriced tourist trap - must avoid! I'm stunned to read positive reviews of this restaurant as the experience we have just had was terrible. The food was hugely expensive and extremely average - yes, Copenhagen is not a cheap city and you pay a premium to be in Tivoli, but given that we had paid to enter Tivoli in the first place and were also sat in a cramped corner of the restaurant near some stacked-up chairs, we really felt we were being ripped off. In terms of the food itself, portion sizes were good but that was about the only positive. By way of an example, 'parsley-stuffed cockerel' turned out to be just a chicken leg with some lumpy green paste tucked under the skin, served with some very tired-looking boiled potatoes in a side bowl that looked like it hadn't been washed properly in months. To top things off, when the bill came, we found out we had been charged 60kr (£7) for water, which was definitely tap water (though the waiter denied that it was) and was served in a cheap plastic jug - straight out of a primary school lunch hall. We chose this restaurant because it looked like the most affordable of the relatively nice-looking ones in Tivoli. It's hard to know whether any of its neighbouring restaurants are any better or also massive tourist traps - at the very least, don't eat...
Very average food
Due to the high amount of reviews and most of them being 4-5 stars we went with quite high expectations of this place. However we were quite disappointed. The restaurant is located in the attraction park, where you’d have to pay around 20 euros just to enter the territory of the park. The food was nothing special. Few danish dishes but mostly some touristic food like Schnitzel and Pommes. Unfortunately my stake, which was ordered to be rare, was overdone and was medium done.
The atmosphere was quite cozy. Lots of windows and sunlight. The stuff was very nice and could speak English well.
Would not advise to go there if you have just several days to visit the city. Nothing special.
Overall it might be a good restaurant for an attraction park, but not if you’d like to enjoy some well made dishes or taste some danish food. Be careful of the high amount of...
Read moreAvoid. I don’t even know where to start. I ordered the Christmas pork crackling and it somehow came out slightly fishy. Imagine that. The crackling was tiny and hard as rock.
My girlfriend ordered the fish and it was over fried and mostly bread.
She couldn’t eat the fish and the staff was insanely rude that she didn’t want to eat it. She said she didn’t want anything after she asked them to take it away and the waitress came back and almost shoved a new dish of shitty fish in her face and stormed away.
The staff then refused to take the fish off the bill.
The only reason this place gets two stars is the manager was quite nice and apologetic. Seemed like he was trying his best working at a subpar place.
The other restaurants were good so I’m surprised how bad...
