Your employees should be trained in how to be considerate and polite towards your customers. Went to Zocalo (@ Tivoli food hall) yesterday (13th mar 2022) night at around 20:15 for a quick dinner together with my partner. There was only one employee taking orders and preparing food when I arrived as her colleague - I later discovered - was on a run to the storage to get some more drinks. There were already 2 girls waiting to order their meal at the counter, then us. The employee apologized to the 2 girls for the waiting time while she was completing what seemed to be a takeaway order. She eventually took their order and they were off to their table awaiting collection. The employee then went back to preparing the food without acknowledging us whatsoever. I understand being busy because temporarily left alone, but a bit of basic customer care skills explaining the situation to us as well wouldn't have hurt. Anyway, minutes went by (wasn't counting, but definitely more than 5) without any signs of her showing any interest to come to the counter and take our order. Then I coughed, not because I was trying to get her attention but simply because I had to, since I have been battling a cold for the last week. She must have thought otherwise, as she gave me a blank look, didn't say a word, and kept doing what she was doing. In my head I thought: "Sorry for bothering you while I have been waiting for what is already an unacceptable amount of time to get served. I truly am. Please, keep ignoring me." Which she did. Eventually, after a bit more waiting, she approached us. Despite me standing right in front of the counter, she completely ignored me and making eye contact with, and talking only to my partner she took her order first. When it was my turn, I politely asked what I wanted to eat and she typed it into the system without even looking at me. I paid, was given the buzz disc, and that was it.
It's such poor customer service that ruins the reputation of a business. Zocalo has always been one of my favorite places for a quick dinner in the city and I really like the food that you serve, but don't think I will be back again after my negative experience...

We are major Mexican food lovers (“Life without Mexican food is no life at all”) on an 11 day cruise in the Baltic Sea missing our comfort food, Mexican! Being from SoCal we love a good basket of warm chips and fresh salsa, on-the-rocks margaritas (they have frozen/blended too), and fresh house-made guacamole. The manager not only was very welcoming and kind, but also said he could make scratch margaritas because we did not want the pre-blended. He used fresh squeezed limes even though they had plenty of frozen strawberry and regular margaritas at the ready. He told us they come in as a team of 3 to 4, 4-hours before they open just to prepare all of the salsas, guacamole, and food fresh. We saw a few other patrons order the burritos (huge!) and the bowls. All of the food hit the spot. The margaritas were delicious and strong. When you’re in the mood for the best Mexican food east of the Rockies when the cruise food just isn’t quite hitting the comfort food spot,...
Read moreOn my recent visit to Copenhagen, I stopped by Tivoli Garden with colleagues and discovered Zócalo at the Food Court—what a pleasant surprise! Being a Tex-Mex fan, I was curious but skeptical about how authentic it would taste in Copenhagen. I decided to give it a try and ordered a burrito, and I’m so glad I did!
The flavors were absolutely spot-on—authentic, bold, and well-balanced. The burrito had the perfect combination of seasoned rice, fresh veggies, and just the right amount of spice. The salsa and guacamole were fresh and added a delightful kick, enhancing the overall flavor profile.
It’s not every day you find Tex-Mex this good outside of the Americas, but Zócalo nailed it. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re visiting Tivoli Garden. A delicious and satisfying meal in the heart...
