CIRCOLO — Restaurant in Frederiksberg Municipality

The food was good, but as others have said the plates quite small, so you will need to order appetizer, starter, main and dessert. Unfortunately for us, arrived 20:15, but order taken only 20:45, a fair few things were already sold out.

I just do not understand how they make money. We were 8, ordered 2 bottles of wine, would have ordered 3 or likely 4 if we had only been able to find a waiter. We ran out of water early on, and would have ordered more. We were all set to order dessert for everyone, but I think no exaggeration it took maybe 20 minutes and some arm waiving for any waiters to even get us menus. All the while there were staff all around, standing by the food counter talking to friends, and ignoring the guests.

I reckon our spend was maybe 2/3rds of what it would have been had we had attentive service, and likely half of what it would have been if they had tried to upsell us a bit. I know us, would not have...

I took a menu with a girl plus a bottle of wine, cost almost 2000 crowns, if the food was great it wouldn't be a problem, but the food was very average not to say not very tasty. The portions were minimal, the soup was just a blob on a plate - 2-3 tablespoons. Each subsequent dish was worse and worse, in almost all dishes the main taste was strong taste of the grill. Last course chicken with potatoes - very salty potatoes as well as other dishes. For the price though I would expect the chicken to be done in a way that would surprise at least the texture or flavor, nothing like that, there were two flavors - first grill second plain chicken. I've been to manga before and the food was delicious, every bite melted in your mouth - worth the money. For this circolo I give two stars - one for the wine and the other for the very nice waiter.

Beautiful and elegant spot, great food, nice range of spritzers and extensive wine list. But the best part of this place is the service / team! What a lovely bunch of people! They make you feel super welcomed from the very beginning. Friendly, warm and efficient team. Food was super tasty! Had the chicken alla diavola with a side of veggies and affogato for dessert. I really don't understand the negative reviews, I found the portions generous and fairly priced. People forget that the restaurants have to pay for the rent, bills, staff's salaries and also try to make some profit. I work in hospitality myself and trust me, this ain't easy!
