I understand being a large group coming in isn’t the easiest for the bartenders, but we were very respectful and polite - all coming straight from a work event at the bank we work at.
The drinks were amazing as always, and I had raved to my co-workers about how sweet and amazing the service always is - however.. this night we didn’t have the typical service… we were met with rolling eyes, snarky comments, and lots of sighs from the staff.. for no apparent reason.
When walking up to ask how to best pay, I asked in danish how to best accommodate the payment (as we are in Copenhagen) and was met with.. “yeah, maybe try in English next time.. I have no clue what you said” and when saying we couldn’t all pay on one card - was met with “well then everything sucks- so I guess it doesn’t matter how you pay” - I mean.. we spent a good amount of money and we wanted to be accommodating and offer to walk up individually and pay at the bar.. when we were all gathering our stuff the guy yelled “guess I’ll have to do you guys first (to another set of people) as these guys (us) are slow as fuck”.
It truly sucks that I have had such amazing experiences here and the drinks are amazing.. but this experience made my co-workers uncomfortable and I felt almost embarrassed.
It might have just been a bad day.. but it’s weird to be so unprofessional..

What a wonderful place! From its historic and charming building to the beautifully designed interior —especially the whiskey bar— everything oozes character.
But what truly makes this place shine is the staff: Sebastián, with his unmistakable “rioplatense” charm, sharp wit, and fantastic service. Fani, so welcoming, mature and grounded — who, together with Miguel, even make sure girls are safe from creeps (true heroes!). Emanuele, an absolute sweetheart: warm, professional, and effortlessly kind.
I also loved the contrast between the lively, youthful vibe downstairs and the refined quiet upstairs —where, curiously enough, the only Danish man, Mr. Nielsen, reigns over the whiskey bar. His deep knowledge of whiskey and mixology is almost as impressive as his dry, intelligent humor and that calm, magnetic presence that somehow makes you want to stay just a little longer.
I’ll definitely be back — and I’ll be sending all my...
Read moreWe visited the bar with decent expectations and found the ambiance lively, though quite loud—something to keep in mind depending on your mood or occasion. The cocktails were fine, but didn’t quite stand out in terms of flavor or creativity.
We had a reservation for 21:00, but our table wasn’t ready upon arrival. Staff kindly offered us a complimentary first round as a gesture of goodwill, which we appreciated in the moment. However, when the bill came, the drinks were still charged. When we inquired about it, no one seemed to recall the offer, which made things awkward and left us with an unfortunate aftertaste—not from the drinks, but from the experience.
We’re not the kind of guests to push for freebies, but when something is promised and then quietly disregarded, it reflects poorly on the service and leaves guests feeling undervalued. What could have been an average night out instead felt unnecessarily disappointing.
Setting: 3.5/5 Drinks:...
