Frederik the VI — Restaurant in Frederiksberg Municipality

Well!! Denmark just tied England 1-1 and we were at Frederick the VI in a packed pub with great food, great beer and special people! Our waitress, Bene, was great and a real good looker;-). There were, basically, 3 things on the menu (other items are available, I think) and 3 items is enough. The fish, in my opinion, was especially good and there were no complaints on any of the selections. Now, this was a national team game night so it was very crowded but that played to the atmosphere of the whole experience. Although we sat inside to watch the game there was lots of outdoor seating and under different situation, outside on a long Danish summer day would have been an excellent choice. Metro and bus access makes getting there easy no matter where you’re staying. I think that Frederick the VI just might be worthy of a regular visit on our next trip to Copenhagen. In preparation for a trip to Copenhagen I found Frederik the VI by Google search. We will be going there in the near future for watching soccer match between Denmark and England. With a few questions I used the email on the website to inquire and my questions were warmly received and answered by the proprietor at the restaurant. We are very much looking forward to visiting and eating traditional Danish food with a Danish crowd watching their Danish national team play. Absolutely lovely place, nice bar atmosphere with great service. Person serving us was warmest person ever and tried to make us feel at home. Thank you for that! ☺️ Food is absolutely delicious, herrings are really nice, for more conservative choices I recommend Monday meatball or fish fillet and for beef lovers Parisian steak was really delicious with nicely balanced sides. One minus for some other person picking up our plates with one containing melted butter. Due to a mistake this waiter spilled some of the butter on the table and my colleague and seemed unbothered by it.
