Good food Great location, very close to the Nile and just a few minutes' walk from the local ferry. Large, spacious and airy rooms; a huge roof terrace with views of the Nile and Luxor Temple; and a private pool. Having read Sheila W's review, I felt compelled to leave a review of my own, as my experience has been very different from that cited in her review! For a start, none of the apartments have 5 rooms - they are all 2 bedroom apartments - and, although the ground floor apartment does have a door which opens onto the 'driveway', it's in no way public. Finally, the owner is a quiet, respectful man, who in no way fits her description. Perhaps she meant to review another property. Came here because we were looking for a simple and tasty meal with a view. The view was lovely over the Nile at sunset however the owner was hostile and argumentative

I am a vegetarian and unfortunately my very unfresh veggie curry came and had pieces of chicken in, a curry that was clearly made prior and had just had the chicken picked out

The wait time the first time around was super long and we had to wait this again The curry wasn’t authentic as promised and lacked any depth or flavour

When we asked for more bread (we were given such a tiny amount compared to all other local places we’ve been to, bread is normally given in the piles!) we were met with stubbornness and extra costs

The portions are quite small and just overall had a disappointing time, sorry :(

*also very confusing as the pictures do not look like the restaurant but has the same menu inside. The owner said the restaurant has recently moved - not sure if this as anything to do with the organisation...

I fully recommend this restaurant , I ate without difficulty with 40 degrees celsius outside because the food was simply exquisite. but I d like to correct a wrong message posted here one day ago. A person said she had been charged twice and had been harassed by the boss/owner who sat with them at the table (or with her). This person who write this has been deceived by a man who pretends to be the owner and who made her/him pay for his meal. I fully understand her/his disarray but the restaurant has also been a victim of a scam : the owner was not there because he had a tour to supervize, his name is Adam. This kind of review, based on a true story, but with giving responsibility to the restaurant should be cleaned off since the restaurant will have to bear the burden of such a definitive bad review if people flee this very good restaurant while reading this and fear to be also a victim of such a scam.
